VITEEE, I don't remember the score but the college was famous for good placements in mechanical engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
If you are looking for world-class facilities and the ability to use them, you have come to the right place. VIT has very good lab facilities and students are encouraged to use them as much as they can for projects and other non-curricular activities.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, there were a lot of opportunities overall but not so much in mechanical. Only one company (TVs motors) came which took 1 student only from the mech. The stipend was around 20K.
Placement Experience
The placements overall are quite good. The IT companies (mass recruiters) such as Accenture, Wipro, cognizant came and around 70 % were placed at a time. They offered a package of 3-3.5 lacs per annum. In the end, around 80 % of the students were placed. In mechanical 25-30 core companies came like honda, ford, applied materials, ITC, Tata motors, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. The tuition fee was 79k per year. Room and mess charges depend on the type of mess or room. There were different types of mess such as south Indian, veg, nonveg, etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know about any scholarship/loan the college offered. I have not availed of any but I think it was given to top 50 VITEEE rank holders.
Exam Structure
VIT is increasingly orienting itself to a more research-focused college with COE's and other interesting lab facilities coming up all over campus. There's also a conscious shift of focus from purely academic subjects to more research-based learning.
Faculty
The majority of the faculty in VIT is mediocre at best. The professors know laughably little about the subjects they teach. More often than not, they refer to books of foreign authors and teach the same concepts to students verbatim.
