Remarks
Good college life. Down to earth atmosphere. Very low fees as compared to other colleges. It's a renowned university. The admission process is through the entrance. The entrance exam takes place around May every year. Since its admission process was delayed due to Covid, Teachers had to rush to complete the syllabus. It's a very famous and good college but it doesn't have good on-campus placements at it's not present in a highly developed city where the companies have their offices situated. Nevertheless, alumni have got extremely well packages in India and abroad. It also has a strong alumni connection all over the world.
Course Curriculum Overview
I always liked chemistry and my uncle also did chemical engineering from Amu and he is very well placed now that's why I chose chemical engineering. For Chemical Engineering, there are only 25 seats. The faculty is good. Professors and Doctors teach us. The exam was regular and not so tough if you work hard.
Placement Experience
I'm still studying. On-Campus placements are low as it's situated in not so developed town. But if you go outside to find jobs you will get very good packages as Amu has lots of value. For Chemical Engineering on-campus placement, the highest package so far was 12 LPA. My plan is to go abroad after my BTech.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are very low as compared to many IITS and Jamia. I don't know about scholarships. On-campus placements are not very high mainly due to their location but otherwise, if you look for a job yourself or apply elsewhere you will surely get good placements.
Campus Life
Right now due to covid I haven't yet experienced college life but I heard from many alumni that's it's worth it. There are many clubs like the horse Riding club you can join for leisure. You can also do swimming, robotics etc.
Hostel Facilities
Rooms are average. Don't need AC there. Food is also good. No process to get a hostel. Just have to tick the yes mark in the "do you want a hostel" Question in the application form. Leisure activities are there for us to spend our time.
