Remarks

I have always heard from people, how college experience is supposed to be the best experience of your life. That's when I joined GITAM, hoping to have the best experience of my life. After my first semester, I realized that I couldn't fully understand what college was like until I experienced it myself. Adjusting to life on campus was not easy, but my seniors made me feel comfortable. Thereafter, I could brush up my skills in my field of choice. I have had many opportunities, which helped me refine my skills. At GITAM, I was given the opportunity of being a member of the Girls Table Tennis Team. I am presently the Team Lead for Both mini and major projects in my final year, which helped me build leadership skills, time management skills. These customized experiences and training helped me land a job in Mindtree and TCS. I'm very thankful to GITAM, for giving me the "best experience of my life" and guiding me towards a better future.

I've chosen CSE because I am passionate about the wonders that can be done using Computer Science. My faculty not only helped me learn the basics but also helped me in overcoming my difficulties of not being able to speak up in times of confusion. Faculty: student ratio in GITAM is 1:66 students.

Internships Opportunities

We were offered internship opportunities in the summer of 3rd year. Dhyanahitha was one of the internship company that offered an AI/ML internship, which took place in the span of 3 months. My project in the internship was the Prediction of suicide rates using AI/ML python language.

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester, which is the 3rd-year 2nd semester. We were trained from the basics in order to prepare for the placements. We also gave tests in order to assess our levels. The highest package of my year as of now is 12 LPA, and the average is 3.5 LPA. Close to 90% of the students get placed. My plans after getting the degree include preparing for MBA and joining my job.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees were 2,47,500 rupees. The preceding years were of the same studying cost for me. My juniors faced an increase in fees. Just like we faced when we were freshers. I've written the GAT exam which was not mandatory. Admissions were taken on the basis of ranks. I landed a job in Mindtree and TCS with 4 LPA as the salary.

Campus Life

The annual fest named PRAMANA is conducted in the month of February. This is a 3-day fest that includes technical workshops, fun games, tasks, etc. This fest includes overnight DJ night, Popular bands play here, each day has its own uniqueness. Classroom amenities include benches, fans, a projector, a blackboard, etc.

Worth considering for your tech career

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Building Skills Beyond the Classroom

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Remembering College Valuble Insights Feels so memorable being a final year student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals,meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

Only 4-1 students are eligible for campus placements Name of companies are infosys, concentrix, foundever, teleperfomance, Sutherland,uts etc in that only few members got opportunity to join in that companies. Highest package is 3-4lakhs All the companies which were came to our clg placements are based on call center types only infosys is IT side remaining all companies came us to take for the roles bpo industry voice based roles and non voice based roles My plans after completing the degree to search for the job

Good academics , poor facilities

Placement Experience:

Campus placements start from final year. A few core companies and bulk hiring companies visit with average packages , overall placement percentage is average . So I plan to build more skills and purse better opportunities after graduation

Honest review on KMIT

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Nice college but lot of improvements are required

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams

Placement Experience:

Campus placements do exist , and it really depends on the person not much on gpa the highest was 40lakhs per annum one time , the lowest was 3lakhs , it really varies time to time but nowadays with advancment in AI and more competition placements aren't really guaranteed

actually i decided to take this course very late and admission tests for central universities are closed but the i chose gitam amoung other private universities as it is a free going campus and no puts any pressure on students which is flexible to me we can apply to the admission test in the website itself and we will get a hall ticket and it is a computarised exam eligibity is the inter percentage should be atleast 60 and the admission test is for scholor ship it has nothing to do with the admission...Read More

A life of an Average Indian Student in University

I have applied to many colleges few of them are Vellore Institution of Technology (VIT), Woxsen University, Manipal University, KL University. I have applied for BTech in All these Universities. But at last moment i decided to flip my course and pursue Food Sciences and Technology so i had to let go all the opportunities in the university. I did apply for Mahindra University for BBA but u got rejected in the Personal Interview round. I got into GITAM througu their Entrance Test. I have got a scholarship of 40% in their entrence test. There are various eligibility criteria for GITAM. The main criteria would be you have to score above 60% in your Intermediate. This Universities accepts students through their own entrence test, AP and TS Eamcet, Intermediate Marks, JEE test series, NEET, etc. The most prefered exam by all the students to get into the university is the Universities Entrence test. The overall admission experience is so smooth and easy. And i realy like the management here cause they are very friendly and they make it easy to survive in this campus...Read More
