Entrance Preview
I had taken MH-CET through which I got admission in this college. Honestly, this college wasn't my first preference, rather it was at the last of my college. nevertheless, I ended up in this college through CAP round and one of the reason was that there weren't many colleges for civil engineering nearby. The admission process is very simple you can get admission through CAP round or you can also get a minority quota seat.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college is affiliated with Mumbai university and it follows the course curriculum provided by the university. In general, there are total 8 semesters with each semester having 2 term test apart from theory paper there is oral examination too for particular subjects.
Internships Opportunities
No college does not provide internship. There are few companies which comes for placement companies like L&T, TCS, but there weren't any core companies for civil branch.
Placement Experience
Placement is below average there were very few students approx 15 from all branches who were placed.here are few companies which come for placement companies like L&T, TCS, but there weren't any core companies for civil and mechanical branches. College does provide training for interviews.
College Events
Well, college does celebrate three festival namely Utsav cultural festival and Utsav technical festival. The college also holds Nova which is a technical festival at every second year it is a national level technical festival many students across the country participates. In Utsav cultural festival generally students from different colleges participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is feasible but college does take the fee of facilities which aren't yet available in college. College also takes development charges as college is under construction. A major chunk of the college fee goes for the teaching faculty. There is also a yearly increase in the fees which is on an average 3000 to 4000rs. The average fee is 70,000rs per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
No there is no scholarship offered by the college but state government does provide a scholarship for different classes of minorities. The amount is generally 25,000 Rs.
Campus Life
The ratio of males to female is 70 percent to 30 percent. There are many workshops which take place during the course period but one has to be active in gathering information. The college has zero tolerance against ragging. In college, there is a vast diversity of students from different caste and class.
Exam Structure
As I said earlier , In general, there are total 8 semesters with each semester having 2 term test apart from theory paper there is oral examination too for particular subjects. In the final (4th) year we get to choose an elective subject.Overall it does become hectic but if you are taking engineering you should be mentally prepared for it.
Faculty
In civil engineering department, unfortunately, there are very few experienced teachers in the college. Most of the teachers are B.E/B.TECH passed out and who are pursuing a master degree.
