My college experience

The college has a good track record in terms of placements and the teaching staff is well qualified too. Now, the college has NAAC A Grade accreditation and the past year my electrical department has been accredited with NBA certification which is very helpful for the students while applying for jobs and further studies. Moreover, It has a Centre of excellence in association with TATA where students can concentrate upon their research and learn about Electric vehicles which are guided by the TATA group staff. College is good in terms of almost all aspects except for its campus size which matters for extracurricular activities. The Admission process is very easy and hassle-free, even after admission the college has an easy process for paying the fees through its website. Received good reviews from a passout student which happens to be my friend and I applied for merit through Maharashtradbt website.

I chose Electrical Engineering as I had prior experience in the following field as I had the subjects in junior college and I had a passion for the following field. The faculty is well qualified ranging from graduate to PhD holding professors and HOD the ratio is about 1 Professor for 15 students. The teaching method is kind of different and easily understandable. The teaching methods include the presentation and video-based teaching through the projector in each class and handwritten notes are also provided for every subject. Exams are conducted timely just after completing each unit through Moodle and google forms platform. Class quiz is taken after completing 2 units. It is not much difficult to pass the exams if you’ve attended the lectures and studied thoroughly about the subject.

The internship is provided by the department in various companies and government institutions such as automatic electricals, College of military engineering which gives good hands-on experience in the projects and some exclusive machinery a certificate is provided for the following experience.

Placements are good and also offer pretty decent annual packages. Students can apply for placements right from the first semester of their final year. The highest package offered is 14 LPA and the average package is about 3-4 LPA. More than 60% of students who apply for placements are placed through the placement drive in college. I am opting for further studies.

The fee is not at all hiked throughout the graduation course for the specific year of admission. Moreover, the fees would be hiked or decreased as per the university regulations. It is the same for all four years of engineering for the specific admission year. Exam fees are also supposed to be paid while paying the college fees which is beneficial for hassle-free exam form submission. The remaining amount from the exam fees is refunded directly to the respective bank account of the student registered with the college. EBC scholarship and different types of assistance are provided by the college. Job opportunities are very much better if you’re qualified enough which would give a good package as well. Companies like Byjus, TCS, Volkswagon, Amazon are the main recruiters in the college which would give packages from 2 LPA to 10+ LPA.

Annual fest and college gatherings are conducted in the college and karandak is organised by the college groups the event is generally conducted in January which follows traditional day, funfair and a dance, Ramp walk event in which the staff and students participates is conducted. Departmental sports competition takes place twice a year. Projector, whiteboard and amphitheatre type of seating arrangement in classes. The library has a vast variety of books which includes references books and semester books and apart from that, the library can accompany more than 100 students.
