Entrance Preview

I did not take the 12th Std route. Instead, I took the Diploma Engineering in Production Engineering route. Getting into this college was like getting in a military school. It made the entire batch of students much stronger than what they were. This is what I heard from my seniors.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is always inline with the State Board. What stays as a difference maker is that what else is imparted to the students apart from the prescribed syllabus. That may be through the latest software packages in drafting or simulation softwares.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. It was a part of semester in our curricula. The overall stipend ranges from 1500 - 2500 odd. We had to present for an industrial project at the end of the semester. Thus before passing out, we were in a better frame of mind to face work life.

Placement Experience

3

The placement was slightly tilted towards IT. There were few companies catering to Production Engineering. There were many from Production Engineering who changed their career from Production to IT and they are doing very good even today. Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, ICICI. As a starting package it ranked between 10K - 30K (monthly). However there was a bond for most of them.

College Events

4

We had Euphoria as a festival, where all the extra activities were brought to the fore. Sports as well was given its own impetus. It was well supported by college authorities.Cricket was played in Cross/ Azad maidan. All other sports were played within the departments and across all years.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Back then it was a transformation from free seat/paid seat to one flat fee to all. Ours was around 40K. It was very well put to use for the development of the students. Our college even had a scholarship going out to the academically excelling students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I do not recollect any loan facilities. However, scholarship was offered for the ones who excelled in academics.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network has just strengthened. Recently a major project was funded by alumni which was presented in Japan.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was inline with the Board. However, the assignments and simulation studies were all college governed. At every instance, these assignments were made tough enough so that a comprehensive education is imparted to every individual.

Faculty

4.5

Probably the best. Hard to find such teachers. That was the time when all my peers cursed them a lot. However with time we realised how effective was the education and how helpful it would be in catering to real life challenges in our life.

Remarks:

he placements were pretty well. There were many students who were placed in MNCs. Most of the companies were IT based companies. Amongst all, only 1 core electronics company came to our college for recruitments. The highest package was around 4 LAP. Our college also provides opportunities for other off-campus drives which took place nearer to Solapur. The companies that came to the campus were mainly MNCs providing an average package of 2.5 LPA which is pretty well for a fresher graduated from a non-government college
