Remarks

Good aspects: good placement records of Bfs batch. Exposure to corporate opportunities. Highly qualified faculty especially Finance. Bad Aspects: The batch size is large. Admission process was extempore, interview. The reason was the location, placement records, BFS program was CFA affiliated. The forum used was pagalguy, MBA Universe.

Course Curriculum Overview

BFS course was chosen because of its placement records, job opportunities, CFA affiliated curriculum. Faculty is super awesome, especially finance, faculty is always there to address our queries Mid term exams and end term exams.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 900000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Companies: Crisil, Capgemini, tata capital, IndiaMART, unicharm, reliance, vguard, arcesium etc. Projects: working capital projects, equity research, Market research roles, equity and derivatives, insurance, sales, lead generation, etc.

Placement Experience

From 5 trimester, students become eligible for placements. Crisil, Capgemini, ICICI, Infosys, Kotak Mahindra, Eclerx, Mazars, arcesium, EY, L&T etc. The highest package around 21 lakhs and the average package are 12 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were little on the high side. Total fees around 20 lakhs. Scholarships are available. Stipend for internships is around 12000-20000 for most companies. Financial assistance is there for students to get into future generalization.

Campus Life

Annual fest Kritva is awesome happens during February-March. Most of the books, journals, magazines and newspapers are available. The classroom is good enough with AC and a projector. Sports facilities good, space for badminton, table tennis, chess, basketball, football, etc. Social groups for Economics, Finance, Marketing, HR, Adcom etc.

Hostel Facilities

Nice hostel facilities, a safe locality with shops around. The meal quality is very good, the menu is nice, different varieties of food represent different cultures. The registeration process of hostels at the beginning of each year can book the room online through IMI.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Interview Experience

Extempore topic: should homework be given or not? Interview about current affairs, economics, finance, general awareness. The process was extempore and then interview. Preparation through online resources, books, newspaper.

The Real Unbiased Truth of JIMS Kalkaji

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are average when compared with other B-schools of similar level. The companies which have visited so far for internships are mostly start ups like Wealth Blue and Outlook, but some other companies like ITC, Bajaj Capital and Coca Cola moon beverages have also come on campus. The highest stipend promised so far is 15,000 for 3 months or 10,000 per month for 2 months. A lot of students are yet to be placed, both for final and summer placements. My plan is also to get a job post my PGDM.

Compass provide a place the highest package our were born is 20 lakhs per annum from the Fite department and the average placement gets around 8 to 10 laks and the minimal is7-8 lakhs. The placement is good in sales and finance department. Most of the companies comes for sales and Management. You can also offer for the finance.

Good opportunity in JIMS

Placement Experience:

From 4th trimester onwards that if from August onwards after coming back from 3 months summer internships, companies come for placements and students can apply to the companies. The companies that visited campus are DELOITTE, KPMG, ACCENTURE,TCS, RANDSTAD,ICICI,SBI, MOTILAL OSWAL, BAJAJ, ASIAN PAINTS, ADITYA BIRLA, BLACKROCK, GRIDLINES etc. and many more. The highest package of our batch went for 24 lakhs( Oman based company) , average went around- 7-8 lakhs , lowest - 4.5-5 lakhs. Profiles offered- Sales head, operational manager, Deputy branch manager, Junior Analyst, Analyst, HR - talent acquisition team , underwriting team etc. Right now more than 80% of students have gotten placed and rest are in the placement process which will be till April. I have been placed in ICICI LOMBARD for Underwriting and Claims process and will be joining the company soon.
