Remarks
The course that I opted for had the best faculties (experience-wise). The date to submit the application depends on the merit scores being released for GUJCET. candidates can wait until the third round of merit-based admission. Apart from merit-based admission, the institute has a special MANAGEMENT QUOTA based admission which is decided depending on various factors (JEE rank / HSC percentage, etc). Cons: the instruments are old and a few of them dont even work. You will have to learn from the stalled instruments. More preference to just academics.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum mostly matters based on your syllabus. A few faculties have a very good knowledge of the subject and will also push the students to learn from the basics and keep track as to how many students are getting the things taught to them. Whereas, a few faculties will just have the interest to complete the syllabus without wondering how much is being understood by the class. Most of the faculty members have their Doctorate in their respective fields, whereas some are still undergoing their Doctorate. The term exams will be decided by the affiliated university. The institute conducts 2 internals which is both mandatory to be attended as the final score is counted based upon the average of the two + your attendance marks.
Placement Experience
Students from the 7th semester are considered eligible for recruitment. The companies that show up are from vast disciplines which have various posts to offer. The placement cell will be the in-charge of approaching the recruiters. Some of the top recruiters here are:- Godrej, MG Motors, TCS, Infosys. As of the current count, there are 220+ placements that have been successful.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the course is INR 1,19,000 per year which can be paid semester wise or at once. In the institute, you will be offered a TAB for better learning under the PM scheme NAMO TAB for INR 1000. (FOR FRESHERS ONLY). Apart from the above scheme, if you have completed your schooling in GUJARAT, you can opt for the MYSY scheme which has certain eligibility criteria. You can also opt for the CHAROTAR VIDYAMANDAL scheme. (Anyone at a time or for the academic year is considered).
Campus Life
You will get familiar with certain tech and non-tech fests. The annual tech fest for the institute is held in the March April duration (3 days event). Various sports and clubs are active in the institute which you will have to find out according to your interests. (Music, sports, women development cell, ASME, ISTE, etc). You will get various opportunities in these fests to showcase your talent in any field(mostly during the tech fest).
Hostel Facilities
Facilities aren't good in the hostel, you will have common washrooms which will be dirty throughout. The cleaning person won't is there for a month atleast to sweep the room. The quality of the food is bearable, but if you are someone from the non-vegetarian liker, you cannot afford to eat there.
