Entrance Preview
CET: 900 , ECE used to be a evergreen course then and was in demand. Not sure about it now. The college used to one of the most talked about colleges among students and parents due to its 100% placements record. And the college lived up to its reputation when i passed out in 2011.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is both theory and practical. Students just don't mug up things but do the practicals of the same. It has been well designed to make sure the students understand the concept behind and how things work in the field of electronics and technology.
Internships Opportunities
There is a program of six months internship in 7th/8th semester where students need to search internship for themselves. The college does guides where one can go. Companies like Infosys, Wipro hired for internship. While other students worked on their own and got selected for internship in some or the other companies.
Placement Experience
The college boasts of 100% placement through campus selection and it lives upto it. However there will always be some exceptions. But the college reputation brings enough companies for students to get selected. Many a times a student has 2 or more offers. so it depends on the student how good he is in converting the opportunities given by the college.
College Events
The college organises the different kinds of technical and cultural fests along with national and international seminars where people from around the globe present their studies and papers. The college is well versed with its own cultural events and provides students to showcase their talent.
Campus Life
Campus life is cool. Gender ratio is not that good but there is diversity in the campus. The labs, extra curricular facilities are good. There are special labs for robotics and competition too happens often.
Alumni/Alumna
The Chitkara Alumni network is very informative and i keep getting mails and information on Linkedin regarding the various programs going on in the college.
Exam Structure
There are different kinds of exams and that to very frequently. some online test, some written tests then unit tests and then the university exams. All these exams are meant to make students pro in the subjects however it does make the day hectic.
Faculty
One of the best teachers in Punjab and their work speak for themselves. They are highly qualified and experienced. They just don't focus on classes but also on the educating the students so that when the pass out they can face the challenges of the outer competitive world.
