Remarks

Management could take a chill pill. I did find it caged, but I had friends & faculty through which I could escape it. Not true in everyone's case. Working Days on Bandhs & strikes are really hard . In some cases the feel a tad insensitive. But a lot their structure has helped in an easy transition to the workplace for most . In my case I find my workplace to be more stress free, dress code for girls & boys are stratospheres apart.

Entrance Preview

I took MAT in early 2014 and Secured 99.61 percentile . I choose this college for the brand they are associated while I was employed I would cross the College & also when I searched for colleges in Bangalore this was one which looked appealing . But the strictness & rules did take me by surprise , but I blended with it after the first trimester . In hindsight it really helped to me cope with the rigors of work.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is relevant & mixes lot of activities which you would associate with most of the MBA colleges nowadays . I do think however lot of subjects are thrown at us & The kids from commerce struggle at statistics & engineering background find it very tough to follow Finance . But with a little work You could pull it together, I am a person who doesn't do that & found it hard . I had to start work & realize how Finance is important to anyone.

Internships Opportunities

The college has an internship before the sophomore year & a mandatory organizational study to be done before the commencement of your first year. There are placements for internships , in my year it was a little low , but my juniors had a good time. I couldn't say something concrete on that. 85-90% of the internships are or good quality . The average stipend would be very low. Considering many unpaid internships.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are very good but The quality of job differs, prima facie the placements especially for marketing look very good. Its like the pay is good but maybe there is a higher quotient of variable pay or you end up doing a job which doesn't suit you. The finance placements were really good in my year. The seniors had a super placement season for the L.O.S students.

College Events

4

Academics & events go hand in hand . If i have to list out the events I would actually have to goto the college website , There are book reviews, ost presentation ,quiz , management Fest (Chrilzellenz & Ushus). Also OBT ,Rural Visit (Bandhan) , Altius (Sports) , Canata (Family Event) Lot of DJ nights , Ethnic Day , Thanks Giving , Theater.

Fees and Financial Aid

I know a few friends who availed it, But I don't think it was judged properly & I don't know on what basis this was made (Yeah , I am hinting double standards) No idea about a loan facility offered by the college , But because of the brand its easy to obtain from most banks.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good, if & only if you want it to be they are strict , but they are meant to be broken (sounds cheesy & awfully cliched) but that's the truth gender diversity is pretty decent compared to Indian standards (For me Indian standards are very low in the gender scenario) Events are really good & there are lots like Blossoms (In bloom) Some people realize it only after college (especially the fresher crowd).

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facilities are top notch , We had WiFi , good food , spacious rooms , cup boards ,common room with TV, But there are lot of double standards , especially in the case of boys hostel Attendance & Leave wise it was vice versa, its very strict , very hard for a post graduate & I was 24 when I joined the college .

Alumni/Alumna

This is one place where it is really good , with a dedicated alumni site which is constantly in action & also a forum where job postings are placed and also our seniors were really good in helping out.

Exam Structure

It is a mix of Internal Assessment plus the external . Here the internal assessment is a mixture of presentations , quizzes, assignments , tests ans miscellaneous stuff. External exams make you think & are application based questions. But if you have good vocabulary , you can crack it the other way around.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is the best I have ever had, this maybe due to the experience they bring in from their corporate background as well. They are highly interactive and we are not conscious to ask doubts or stuff like that. Also the mentoring program is top notch & I had two really good faculty at my time there.
