Remarks

College management is pretty helpful and strict when it comes to any violations of rules. Over all the best college to be in.

Entrance Preview

VITAAA Exam i took and got rank of 3913, this college was one of the best college for Biotechnology in India.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Its very good I would say. There are lots of teachers which guide students and help them to pursue the researches in their own interest area. We have faculty which are ready to pay for the research form their research fund in case the researcher is getting trouble in getting the funds.

Internships Opportunities

I do not think it provide and internship so far. Research scholars will be getting but I am not sure of the exact amount.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are 100% if you graduate that particular year. I myself a Biotechnology graduate but working in an IT firm all because of VIT and its brand value. They make sure the person gets placed any where and in any companies. Its awesome and thanks to VIT and its brand which help me got my Job.

College Events

5

Technical point of view we have Gravitas, every year and whole college use to participate and students from other college also use to come and participate in the technical events, like Robotics, Den etc. Cultural point of view we have Riviera, and we use to love this event as this event is for 3 days and no classes use to happen for this. This was the best time you can enjoy your college life, concerts use to happen a lot.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is expensive than other colleges in India, but its totally worth spending. As you have 100% placement, Research and development labs which are up to date technology, each and every instruments are there which student require. A big library is there for you to learn new things, no one restrict you to study other subjects which are not of your stream.

Fees and Financial Aid

No loans were given by college, Scholarship was there for the top students of the college with branch wise

Campus Life

5

Gender Ratio: 55 boys to 45 girls i belief, students parties : No, not allowed. they can very well party with out knowing the warden. Workshop was conducted almost every month on new topics and it use to be good with certifications. Labs as i have mentioned earlier are the best among all the colleges in India. Sports competition use to happen for each on of the sports starting from through ball till snooker. Robotics and Debate club use to be there for the interested students and you can emerge as a great personality in that area if you are one of them.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel was expensive and mess food is edible. We use to have 6 bedded, 4 bedded, two bedded and single bedded, later 8 bedded room also came. In all the above rooms we had the facility to avail AC. AC charges use to be very high in my belief but its worth staying in hostel and enjoy hostel life with mess talks and late nights gossips. PG facility we do not have in the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, i see mail floating here and there for alumni and they have also called and ask to come for any of the graduation day ceremony.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs are not very frequent, as you get enough time to enjoy college life. Some days could be hectic because of the tight schedule of the courses you have chosen for the semester, but rest of the year you can very well enjoy. For me it was chilled out most of the time as the classes will get over before lunch and I use to enjoy my evenings.

Faculty

3.5

We have faculty which are ready to pay for the research form their research fund in case the researcher is getting trouble in getting the funds. This shows how noble and humble they are when it comes to research. As we have mix(good and bad) faculty in each and every college, but I personally felt that in VIT most of the faculty are above average.

Placement Experience:

In my college, on campus placement opportunitiesd for core biotechnology and life science fields were quite limited, While there were placement drives conducted during the final year, the majority of companies that visited were from IT, customer support, and non-core sectors, which weren't directly relevant to the field of biotechnology.
