Remarks

As mentioned in the title, my college life was a roller coaster ride. Like every college student's life in college, even my life had its ups and downs. On the whole, my college was really good and I enjoyed and learned a lot from it.

Entrance Preview

I wrote EAMCET and my rank was 61218. I chose CMREC because at the time of joining, CMR Group of Institutions was one of the top colleges in Telangana State and CMREC had the best infrastructure when compared to other campuses in the CMR Group of Institutions.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I opted Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) because since my childhood, I was interested in how gadgets were designed. ECE helped me in understanding patterns and how things actually worked. The circuit designing was interesting and I made sure that I enjoyed what I learned in CMR.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college did no provide any internship. But the placements in our college were very good.

Placement Experience

5

Each and every student knew their potential before the placement season and our college faculty and management made sure that we prepared according to it. The high placement results of our college are an example of how good our placement process is.

College Events

5

We have a Two-Day Fest called AVAZYA, every year in our college. All the students and faculty members from each department show their hidden talents and participate in all sorts of technical and non-technical events. Even the students from other colleges come to participate in these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible in CMREC. Our college follows the fee structure provided by the state government. The students who couldn't afford the fee were provided fee reimbursement from the state government, so that everybody gets the education they deserve.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know about any kind of scholarship program in my college. But the students who topped every year were presented with a cash gift.

Campus Life

5

The gender ratio was 2:3 in our college. Most of the students were boys and it was almost 1:10 ratio in the mechanical department. We had various workshops and seminars every month. As far as I know, there was no such discrimination regarding gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or economic status.

Hostel Facilities

5

I was not a residential student, hence I wouldn't know much about the hostel facilities. But as per my knowledge from my friends, the hostels were neat and clean and the mess food was edible. The cost charged as the hostel fees was also moderate and economical.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students were always helpful to us. They provided us with their notes regarding the subjects and gave our advice regarding matters like placements and other important aspects.

Exam Structure

The exam system and the labs schedules were neither hectic nor chilled out. We always had a moderate system in our college with mid-terms once in every two months apart from the final semester exams. And we had regular lab sessions which showed us the practical side of our course.

Faculty

5

The faculty in CMREC is really talented. As they say "All fingers are not the same", each faculty member had their own way in teaching the subject. Some taught while making us laugh, while some taught us while making sure we stayed professional and disciplined.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good as of now. But can change a little bit becuase in 4 years we will have 8 sems and 40 subjects. Subjects should be divided in such a way that it should not get burden on the students. In some sems they will just 4 or 3 subjects that will effect other sems by having 7or 8 subjects at a time. That is really tough to clear all subjects at a time that may leave pressure on the students. And another suggestion in teaching methods was therotical class and practical class has to be done parallelly because if theory classes of particular topic has been completed in this week and pratical classes of that particular topic will be executed in some other week lab sessions. That may create confusion in students and there might get forgot what they have learnt in that week. If the theory and practical classes happened parallely they will gain hands on experience on how the things will work and they can understand more better.
