Remarks

Overall management is good, they will try to help you in all way if you are have good academics. Principal is one frustrated person who keeps shouting on people whoever she sees. Rest college maintains image in south Mumbai for facilities and campus.

Entrance Preview

Admission is based on your HSC (science) score. If you are from commerce field 11-12 math subject is mandatory to enroll for this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Computer Science is based on all basic and advance fundamentals of computers. In first year you will learn basic computer fundamentals and C,C++ language, 2nd year is consist of advance programming language, data structure, mathematics and computer programming. 3rd is around DB, networking concepts, advance CG and project work.

Internships Opportunities

My time college didn't provide any internship, we had to look for it by our self which was quite a difficult task to do without any good reference. Still some people manage to get internship in various small medium scale IT firms.

Placement Experience

1

Only one company had come for placement during my time, Which was not totally IT firm but related to that. They offered 2.5 lac package and around 6 people got selected. Company name was NAVTEC which creates digital maps for Nokia mobile. No other companies came to campus for placement.

College Events

2

During my time college conducted 3 events: Tsunami, Fusion, College day. Tsunami is pretty big and popular event in Mumbai organized by management course student. They have pretty big sponsors. Participating in event is simple and straightforward.

Fee Structure And Facilities

During year 2007-2010 fees is 25000 per year. Which consist of everything you don't need to pay extra penny for anything else. You can enroll for Economic Backward Class and get scholarship on this fees as well. College provides all the details at admin department.

Fees and Financial Aid

College encourages you to take EBC (Economical Backward Category) scholarship if you coming from lower income family. Government will refund you 33% of you annual fees. Other than that college don't provide anything for loan and scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is equal. Mostly you will find diverse religion people in this college. Has very good sports team who participate in multiple inter college competitions. They will encourage you participate and you can take a day off it you playing for college team.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Lala Lajpat Rai Canteen is one of the best canteen you will find in Mumbai with variety of food from Chinese, Indian, snacks etc. They used to make best South Indian food as well. Most people in canteen is from south India so you can expect good idili, wada and dosa.

Alumni/Alumna

College keeps alumni day every day to invite people old batches. They have very poor alumni network to interact with. You will do the same ones you pass out from college. Seniors are helpful if you go and ask them, they are easy to approach.

Exam Structure

It has semester pattern. Each year consist of 2 semester, which involves labs and written examination. Labs are pretty easy if you like computers. Exam is quite difficult to crack cause most of the theory is pretty difficult to understand. Maths is moderate level.

Faculty

3

Most of the faculties are visiting faculties if you are lucky enough you will train by those. Faculties have adequate knowledge on computer fundamentals but you will not learn anything out of box here. They will stick to syllabus strictly. Subjects are quite tough to pass so better study on your own.

• As I don't have maths so I have choosen this course for medical way for the future educational content and lab work. • They prepare us very good their skills and they approach in the lab practical is so good. • One one improvement as from mine is that they doesn't have some practical equipment and machinery for the working so I would like to have that to get that practical knowledge and for that they teach us theoretical for that kinds of practical. • Average the frequency and time for exam preperation is good

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
