Somaiya is a brand in itself. Being a private university, it gives exposure to multiple fields which helps one to discover its potentials other than the regular curriculum of exams. Though the fees are a bit high than other colleges, Somaiya is worth it if you yourself have that craze of doing something great.

I personally loved computers and technology stuff fascinated me a lot so I chose Computer Engineering branch. It is also a well known fact that Computer Engineering is an evergreen branch so it is always in high demand. The curriculum in KJSIEIT is based on Mumbai Unversity, which i have heard that it somewhat lacks behind with today's demand of real industry expectations. So MU ha to update its syllabus very often to meet the needs. Faculty is well versed in their own subjects.

Many students get placed in TCS, placement record is quite good and decent. Highest package record was 13 LPA and lowest 3 LPA

We have Renaissance as our technical fest held in month of august-September for about 2/3 days. The technical committees of college organize fun events, games, quizzes, seminars, workshops, bootcamps and other fun stuff. SURGE and SCORE are our annual cultural and sports fest. SURGE includes various inter college competitions, just like any other annual function you've observed but on a large scale. SCORE is a sports fest wherein many different kind of sport events are conducted.

Infrastructure is well equipped With the required stuff. Sports facilities are provided if you are interested in sports. whole Campus is enabled with WiFi. Library is a bit smaller in size, but has enough books to get your study done. Other reference books and novels are also there. Labs contain the systems required for the practicals mentioned in the syllabus.
