Remarks

Because it is the best government college of Uttarakhand. Bad aspect is that now the fees has been incresed to upto 4 lakh per year, which is very high.There should be an affordable fee structure, So that anyone can study in a government college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this because I wanted to be a doctor and wanted to serve our hilly areas where there is less medical facility. Faculty: student ratio is about 1:10

Class Size: 100

Placement Experience

In medical colleges there are no placements. One have to clear PG exam for speciality courses. My plans after getting this degree is to be a Surgeon and to be a Medical Officer.

College Events

We have an annual fest names "CRESCENDO" which is the best time of college. It is conducted in October and November every year. We have a very big central library. We can play almost every sport in the campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure now has been hiked by about 8 times. I think a government college should not charge this much fees. The amount of stipend we get is also very low as compared to other colleges.

Hostel Facilities

In the room, we have 2 table chairs 3 almeera. 2 students share 1 room. Registration of the hostel was very easy. It took place along with the admission process.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

Yeah, of course we have to clear NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance test), to get a government seat. I took 1 year coaching for NEET exam from Aakash.

From 6th semester our college allows students to sit in campus placement derive. 9-10 companies usually visit our campus and the minimum package which they offer is 5lpa. As per now minimum 65% students from a batch gets placed other students they go for off campus placements.

It's a good college

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is bsc ( maths) and I think we should have more practicals to understand the assignment. teachers should improve their practical learning, and atleast 2 days of practicals in 1 week, other wise it is good

My Experience With AIIMS Rishikesh

Admission:

To get admission in B.Sc Optometry I had to score at least 50% in Science 12th standard. After that I had to give an entrance examination organized by the campus and clear it in order to get selected for the course.

Good curriculum with best faculty

Remarks:

There is no negative remark which I can point out about my university. From facilities to studies everything is top class. High profile staff with a library of plenty of books. I mainly commented on library because as I am a research student I get all books from our library.

Remarks:

There's only negative things about my college. It's very hard to find any positivity here its like to find a coin in the sea. Infrastructure, Academics, Placement, Canteen, Sports Facilities, Extracurricular activities everything needs to be get done here. Everything seems incomplete & Management really is the worst part here.

My college provides an environment that is best for overall personality development. one negative thing I noticed that despite strict rules students indulged in smoking and drinking to great extent. After caught in such activities they were released without any strict action by posing a fine of 2000 to 10000 on them.

MBBD in GMC Haldwani

I applied for two more colleges. GDMC Dehradun and VCSG Srinagar. But according to me, Government Medical College Haldwani was a better choice. I haven't availed of any quota for admission. The minimum age for admission is 17 years. Minimum marks for the general category should be at least 600. For admission to GMC Haldwani, you need to qualify NEET exam with good marks. It's one of the oldest college of Uttarakhand and it's quite good choice to opt if you want to go for MBBS. And it has Pg courses too so it was kind of good thing if you want to get the exposure for getting a clarity of which speciality to pursue if you are thinking of doing PG after MBBS. And in back in 2016&17 the bond system was there in haldwani and Doon but now it's only in Srinagar college so it cost you around 50,000/per yr (tuition+hostel fees). Even though it's more than govt central institute. But it's okay, And college is quite reputed. And in future after completing your college you can easily earn that back....Read More
