The faculty of he college is very nice and intellectual.
The campus of the college is very spacious and green.

Dislikes

The lecture hall doesn't have ac which makes it difficult for the students to concentrate.
The college lack extracurricular activities. Doesn't have clubs which makes the college life very monotonous and boring.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very interactive and include theory lectures as well as provide provide practical knowledge. They are regular hospital visits for the students to have a better understanding of the clinics.

Class Size: 125Course Fees: INR 145000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college provide a mandatory internship of 1 year for the students to have practical knowledge of the OPD and clinics. Through this internship the student can virtually learn and practice medicine. The stipen of the internship is 17000 rupees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The tution fees of the course is-1 lakh 45 thousand, hostel fees-6000, mess fees-30000 in total including other expenses for eg. Admission fees, extracurricular fees etc the course charges 2lakh approximately. The students can opt for scholarship through national scholarship portal and can get a refund of their tilution fees.

Campus Life

The college lacks clubs and extracurriculum. The fest of the college has not been held in 5years now. The auditorium is also not available to the students. The library is good and have all the required books for the curriculum.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are affordable and the mess food is also fine. The hostel charge around 6000 rupees for an year. However soemtimes the hostel has water supply problem and it doesn't have toilets with proper flushing system.

Admission

The admission process is vet easy. After the allocation of the college the studnet have to physical present to the college with their original documents. Medical tests are done by the hospital faculty themselves.

Faculty

All the faculty members of the college are highly educated and itellectual. They are very understanding and supportive. They make the learning very easy by their interactive presentations which helps the students to have a better understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are 50 percent MCQS AND 50 percent subjective preparing us for INICET/NEET PG and USMLE at the same time. What else do you want from a med school? Also, we have 2 hours of practical classes and 3 hours of clinical posting which prepares us to face practical problems and provide immense exposure. Minor tests are held every week. Major exams are held six monthly.

MBBD in GMC Haldwani

Placement Experience:

After passing the MBBS every student is eligible for the campus placement. There are no companies that visit the college for placement because the students are placed under the government. All students are provided the pay decided by the government. 100% of students qualifying MBBS are getting placements. After getting the degree I have a plan on appearing in the NEET PG exam and after qualification, I will be doing features in any of the qualified branches.

I applied for two more colleges. GDMC Dehradun and VCSG Srinagar. But according to me, Government Medical College Haldwani was a better choice. I haven't availed of any quota for admission. The minimum age for admission is 17 years. Minimum marks for the general category should be at least 600. For admission to GMC Haldwani, you need to qualify NEET exam with good marks. Now you have to attend the counseling online and upload all the required documents online platform. If you got selected you get an admission letter. It's one of the oldest college of Uttarakhand and it's quite good choice to opt if you want to go for MBBS. And it has Pg courses too so it was kind of good thing if you want to get the exposure for getting a clarity of which speciality to pursue if you are thinking of doing PG after MBBS. And in back in 2016&17 the bond system was there in haldwani and Doon but now it's only in Srinagar college so it cost you around 50,000/per yr (tuition+hostel fees). Even though it's more than govt central institute. But it's okay, And college is quite reputed. And in future after completing your college you can easily earn that back....Read More
