Remarks

The first impression is the last impression! The admission process at SCMHRD is seamless and is student-driven which is carried out in the second and third week of February. They make everyone feel included and help them in every step. They constantly boosted the confidence by being by your side during the admissions process. SCMHRD, having its own hostel and campus, makes it possible for the students to not worry about the lodging and boarding. The faculties are helpful and knowledgeable and are even part of the extracurricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The faculties in SCMHRD have ample subject knowledge and are open to any questions irrespective of the audacity of the question. They are well versed with every topic in detail and are excellent in teaching. Apart from the permanent faculties, there are more than 100 visiting faculties from various industries and have varied experiences to help students understand the corporate scenarios in a better way. The course is taught through case studies which opens up the creative lens of students during the pre-read. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the first year was online and the assessment criteria were different for our batch. Apart from the internal assignments, case studies and midterms, the end terms were of MCQ format. There was an advantage to SCMHRD on having a semester system.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The companies which offer an internship at the top tier B-Schools are the ones which visit SCMHRD and thus offer good compensation and knowledge. The projects offered are quite diverse with respect to the field chosen.

Placement Experience

4.5

The first opportunity to know the corporate culture in summer internships and these internships occur in April- May generally. The final placements are quite good if you have ample knowledge of the subject matter. Thorough preparation is needed for the summer internship and final placements. More details about the placements can be found on the Placement column of SCMHRD website.

Fees and Financial Aid

Although the fees are on the higher side i.e. 18 LPA, the amenities and course make up for the same. Various scholarship opportunities are available for families having income below 6 LPA and also for the ones who are academic scholars in SCMHRD.

Campus Life

4.5

There are numerous clubs which one can be a part of and the process for getting into a club is similar to the admission process. The annual fest of SCMHRD is NEEV which is the third-largest festival in India. It is conducted in December every year. Although we hard copy of books was not available to us as we were studying online, we were provided with various online library resources including the McGraw-Hill and Pearson libraries of books. The campus has courts for Badminton, Basketball and others. Also, there is an indoor swimming pool on the campus if one finds time from their busy MBA schedules.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms are quite spacious but we are not allowed to have any electronic appliances in the hostel room. The food quality is good but gets monotonous sometimes. It is tasty and the feast meals are sure to devour. There are three hostels for boys which are located at a maximum distance of 500 metres. Everything else is available on the hostel premise starting from laundry to canteens.

Interview Experience

5

SCMHRD has a GE-PI-WAT process for admission and I personally enjoyed these. GE refers to group exercise and this is different from many Group Discussion in other B-schools. GE process checks your instincts on working in a team, decision making, communication and many more. The WAT or written ability test has two rounds, first, one where one has to write on the given topic and the other where an abstract image is shown which has to be described. PI is taken by a panel of two members and is generally structured. Most of the questions are CV based and thus, a thorough read into your own past and experiences is required. Reading newspapers daily can help in WAT and GE.

Placement Experience:

The placements depend upon which Specialization you're in. If you're a marketing student there will be lots of good companies coming in for placements followed by finance and then HR. You become eligible for placement from 3rd semester. Companies such as Deloitte, PWC, TCS, HCL, etc. visit the campus for placements and offer a good amount of Packages.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
