Entrance Preview
I gave JEE Mains, my score was 220/390. I got admission here from WBJEE Rank. My rank was 20383. Also I needed NATA score, a mandatory exam for Architecture aspirants. My score was 92/200. Its minimum qualification score is 80/200. Thus I got admission. Fee Structure is quite fair for B.Arch course. The college bears a wonderful environment, great infrastructure and experienced faculties. Its great learning here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is formed with a view in mind to train the students completely in every skills of architecture. Its challenging. You need to be dedicated and hardworking. You have subjects main subjects like design, graphics, history which you have to study till fourth year, then subjects like structure, strength of materials, computer science that you need to study for 2-3 semesters, and then subjects like maths, mechanics, climatology, english, acoustics that has duration of 1-2 semesters.
Internships Opportunities
Yes our College provide internships in fourth year of B.Tech and Fifth year of B.Arch. General Stipend varies from 3000 to 12000. The experience as I have heard is amazing.
Placement Experience
Being a developing College the prospect of its placement is superb. Students are placed in finest industry like Wipro, Tcs, Amazon, and others. There are a lot of Job Opportunities for the one who has worked hard all the 4-5 years. Apart from that we have Architectural internships in Fifth year where students work under an imminent architect.
College Events
Certain Seminars have been organised which were very helpful for students as well as created platform to show their academic skills. Annual competitions are organised for students so that we can showcase our extracurricular and cultural skills. Then sports competition, writing competitions are yearly organised.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Structure is in a way feasible if we compare other colleges which provide the same kind of facilities, environment, faculties but charge more. Its at par with generally the minimum expense that a professional course needs after 10+2. the fees is nearly 45000/ semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
TFW Scheme is ther in association with WBJEE, where the entire tuition fee for four students of architecture each year is waived. Loan facility might be there.
Campus Life
Campus life is healthy, conducive, free and studious with entertainments. It has sports facilities like table tennis, chess, carrom, badminton. Have our own College Cricket team who are doing great. There are good number of female students per batch, ratio as I have perceived is 30 females per 50 males students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good with calm environment. And food is simple but tasty and healthy. 1st Year students living in hostel has to introduce themselves to a number to their seniors but they are not rugged or bad behaved, they help their juniors by heart. Hostels have Guards and an undertaker who keeps everything under maintenance and control.
Alumni/Alumna
Architecture Seniors are like real friends, they are very helpful, understanding and guide you whenever you present a problem to them.
Exam Structure
Exam Structure is fairly nice. We have two unit tests in a semester and a semester main exam. Labs, exam hall everything bears a cool environment. Question comes in internal from what is taught in class and not from outside. No unhealthy events take place during exam. Teachers are fair.
Faculty
The faculty here in architecture is the part which attracts students unlike other private colleges in West Bengal. Our HOD is a great experienced person and hass been associated with architectural ( NASA, CoA) events nationally. Then we have wonderful teachers for Design and all other subjects. They are very friendly and helping. They take great interest in their subjects to teach and we enjoy learning from them.
