Remarks
It was the first institution of higher learning opened to cater to the educational needs of women in Bihar. Bishop Sullivan, the founder, named it Patna Women’s College and presented it as a gift to the Women of Bihar, thereby placing at their disposal an opportunity for higher education.
Entrance Preview
I passed 12th from CBSE and scored 88 percent marks in it. I opted for this college as it was the best in Bihar. People are crazy for this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was fantastic. All the professors including Head of the Department were full of knowledge. They teach us very well and in a very simplified manner. Regular classes were held and we enjoy their lectures a lot. I never ever missed their lectures. They also take extra classes if we have any doubts and clarify it very well.
Internships Opportunities
No, my college did not provide any internship and stipends to college students. But they provide hostel at a very cheap cost. The lodging and food are as good as your home.
College Events
The College has an active task force which works for environmental education, protection and conservation since 1992. It is called ' Environment Conservation Outreach (ECO) Task Force '. It was established on June 5th, 1992 when the important environment summit was going on in Rio De Jeneiro.

The college is run by the 'Sisters of the Apostolic carmel' . The college was initially started to provide education till Intermediate(+2) in Arts only. However, within a year, it got the approval to run the courses till Graduation. The College started Science courses since 1988.

The college celebrated its Platinum Jubilee Celebration in 2014. Situated by the side of Bailey road and opposite to Patna High Court, the magnificent buildings of Patna Women's College attract the attention of the passer by. It is affiliated to Patna University since 1952.

Patna Women's College is a landmark college of Patna which has shown its solidarity towards the development of Women in the long term, now approaching the Platinum Jubilee year of establishment. It has produced several gems for the State and the Country.
Hostel Facilities
The land where the college stands today was provided by the then Governor of Bihar, Lord Rutherford in 1945. He wanted the building to be as impressive as the oppositely situated High Court. The founders of the college did not let him down. The marvelous building of the college is built in combination of Hindu, Islamic, Norman and Gothic style. The white color adds charm to its beautifulness.

Till very recently, the College was a prime destination for Intermediate courses among girls until Intermediate Course was removed from the Patna University. The college has the reputation of providing the education of highest standard, keeping itself aloof from the bandh activities of the University.

Admission
I got admission on the basis of my marks but as I want to do BA in economics, I have to appear into a examination. Later I got admission on the basis of my performance in this examination.Admission Process in this college was very easy. All the staffs are very co-operative but they are very much strict in following the rules and regulations.
