Remarks

1. In the very first place, I chose this college I had a very low NEET score to get into a medical school. I had to take a decent course from a decent college. All in all, Jamia Hamdard was a good option. 2. the student-friendly environment is what Hamdard is known for, all the authorities are extremely kind to listen to your queries and grievances. however, one thing that I personally dont like about Hamdard is the circulation of news. you dont get the some important information on time. 3. The admission process is easy. there might be a slight hustle only due to the number of students. generally, the admission process starts from the months of June-July (pre covid) 4. The reason for choosing Jamia Hamdard over other colleges is because firstly, it is a deemed university, secondly, getting admission is not that difficult and thirdly, the environment for new students is really comfortable. 5. www.jamiahamdard.edu, www.shiksha.com

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

1. I chose this course because I wanted to do something in the field of food, if not medicine. 2. The faculty-student ratio is 7:32. 3. all of the faculty members are either phd or currently under the phd program. 4. The term exams are held every six months, it is quite difficult to pass these exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

Companies like haldirams, jubilant, cremica, itc, amul, etc recruit students for the posts of trainee. generally very less internships are offered with the stipend, approximately 3000/month. Trainees are made to work on certain projects that are related to the students course of study and clarity is brought up by ths entire procedure.

Placement Experience

1.5

Form the last semester of course the students are eligible to get a placement, amul, healthkart, veeba, etc. usually 1-3 offers are made. 3 LPA. 10%students get placements. My plan is to go for post graduation after the completion of my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. The fees are quite affordable. there is a yearly fee hike policy, but it does not really make a huge difference altogether. 2. There are several opportunities for scholarships as well and is easy to avail such scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual fest is named "Hamdard fest" which is generally held in the month of October. "jashn-e-adab" is a poetry fest that is held twice a year. the library is loaded with all kinds of books. you can just go on and on and spend days in the library. the classrooms are well equipped with proper white as well as blackboards, desks, fans, lights, and AC. the "sports week" is a huge sports fest organized wherein sports like basketball, cricket, football, badminton, volleyball, chess, table tennis, etc are played for both girls and boys. "EPOCH" is a student council, IEEE and CSI.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are two options for rooms, with and without AC. rooms are equipped with beds, tables, chairs and cupboards. The meals provided in hostel are satisfactory based on hygiene and taste. getting hostel is not an easy task as thee are any students who wait for the hostel.

Interview Experience

4

The topics were related to the course itself, general knowledge about food technology. the admission process was divided into 2 rounds first round: the twelfth aggregate and the score of Jee/ Neet was asked for. second round: personal interview wherein we were asked general questions related to food technology. I prepared for these rounds by studying food technology.

We have to understand and go for training as per the direction of our enhanced cell guidance. Companies take a lot of things into account apart from scores and this is where it becomes inevitable for us to go for it. Top level companies are the ones that gets along and gives nearly 90% of the students.

Placement offers are not that good, like if you're pursuing other courses than btech so the placement is good but in btech, tech companies don't come that often, so you have to develop your skills during your academics and apply offline for job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Currently what a job require and what we are being taught in the college, totally different. We have to study separately for preparing job because in our course curriculum, importance skills aren't taught and the frequency of exam throughout the year is too much. We don't get enough time for preparing jobs. We need less frequency of exams throughout the year so that we can prepare for a job.
