NRTI, Bachelor of technology ( btech ) ( rail system and communication engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 29, 2021(Enrolled 2020)

Remarks

I chose to attend this college because my father and my family always wanted their ward to become a government official and it was the best opportunity with minimum effort. That too in railways made it more valuable moreover any NIT or BITS. Admission application open in July on nrti.edu.in and done on jee mains course for BTech while a different exam for MSc aspirants.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Rail system and communication and rail infrastructure engineering are the only two branches offered here, rail system and communication (race)is a mixture of ECE, CS, IT and rail system while infrastructure was a mixture of mechanical and civil so it's quite clear that cut off for rail system and communication is higher so good student prefer communication for the better job opportunity. The teacher is very good with young enthusiastic experienced faculty from a renowned university like IIT, IIM and IMU, ISI etc. Here we follow a trimester pattern which is not tough.

Placement Experience

5

Placement is not available as BTech first batch is enrolled this year and BSc placement going on with AVG of 3-5 lakhs maximum 10 lakhs. Internship each every year for BTech student in Indian railways, IRCTC, Siemens etc, both paid and stipend.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are 132000, besides 45000 hostel fees and 55000 mess fee. The scholarship is provided to only top ten performance-based eligible students with family income less than 5 lakhs, Pragati, ekalyan, NSP Scholarship are guided through the administration.

Campus Life

4.5

No annual festival no techno-cultural fest only garbha night and a visit to other local colleges on their fest. The classroom is neat clean air-conditioned newly built and well painted with proper seats. Plenty of space for sports, multiple courts for badminton, basketball, cricket, volleyball and football. The college has a good volleyball and football team and won many tournaments. There are cultural arts literature clubs run by BSc MSc students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did write the course curriculum and Indus university as good and relevant. Overall I chose this course because it has strong fundamentals project work and practical exposure. The curriculum prepares students well for real-world applications and internships, Though it could include more advanced tech technologies and industry certifications exams are regular, each semester and moderate, challenging, encouraging consistent study, but sometimes could be more practical oriented.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and covers all the basic and important subjects related to the field. This course includes both theoretical and practical subjects which influenced my decision to choose it. The syllabus helps in building strong fundamentals, but it is still more theory-oriented and less industry-focused. It prepares students for exams and higher studies, but for real-world skills, students need to do extra courses and self-practice. The exams are conducted every semester along with internal tests and are moderate in difficulty level. If a student studies regularly, the exams are not very difficult to clear. The curriculum should be updated more frequently and more practical, project-based and industry-related topics should be added.
