Remarks

JC BOSE UNIVERSITY is popularly known as YMCA. The good side of this university is that is located in Delhi NCR. The placement here is quite good. Almost every student is placed from the top branch (CS/IT). The overall placement ratio is very good. The best part of this college is its fees. Almost in 3.5 lakh, all your BTech degree is completed. The bad part of YMCA is its campus size. Don't expect a very big campus size while joining this. The campus area is only 20acre also the bad part is that hostel is only provided for 1 year in case of boys but for girls, they provide for 4 years. Our college admission criteria are based on Jee mains rank. To get admission here one has to participate in online counselling done through HSTES. I mainly preferred this college because I was getting computer science here and also its a value for money college. So if you are not getting top branches in NIT do prefer our college. It's 2nd best in Haryana after NIT Kurukshetra.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose CS because of its growing demand and placement of CS/IT is quite good at Ymca. So if we talk about faculty: students ratio then it is like for 72 students one subject teacher is assigned and for some subjects, it's 36. The faculty here are highly qualified all have done their masters in their respected fields. Some of them are IIT graduate and have teaching experience for more than 10+ years. The teaching method is also very good. The interaction between faculty and teacher is quite good. They are always up for students doubts. This year due to corona all the semester is shifted. but according to that exams are going to happen and they are on time. The difficulty level is average. Most of the students easily clear exam.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are many companies offering an internship to the students here such as amazon, adobe, TCS and others. The stipend is quite good ranging from 20k to 50k per month. Many students also go for off-campus placement.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students are eligible for placement in their 4th year. Many companies come here for campus placement such as amazon, Flipkart, TCS and many more. Last year the highest package is 28 lakh from IT branch offered by amazon. The average package range from 6-8 lakh for CS/IT branch and for other it ranges between 3-6 lakh. Mechanical package is also very good in our college about 5-7 lakh. 95% of the students are placed in cs/it branch. Overall almost 80% of the students get placed in our college. If you are deserving you will be easily placed with a good package. I am personally planning to get placement from our college in a tech company.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I said our college is very affordable. Yet there are many scholarship schemes for the students who need financial assistance. Cost to study is very low and average background students can easily afford it. Else there are many scholarships offered by central as well as by state government to the students. Students do their internship in 3rd or 4th year here with on-campus internship offered to them by several companies with a good monthly stipend ranging from 20-50k. Some of the student who doesn't get an Internship on campus they try off-campus.

Campus Life

3

So talking about social life can be a disappointment for some students. The campus size is very small as compared to other engineering colleges. But if you get good friends then you will enjoy it here. There is only one of our fest Culmyca. The quality of fest is not very good but it is quite fun. The fest takes place in the month of February-April. Coming to the library our Library is very good and have enough books for the students and is open for 24*7. You can easily go and avail the book of your choice. The classroom is average. Some of the practical labs are fitted with AC. The classroom has its own digital board. Coming to sports and extracurricular activities then you will be happy knowing that facilities are good but one thing to mention is that we have a small ground. There are many clubs and cells running by seniors and faculty coordinator. Manan is one of the famous coding clubs in our college. There is Natrajan for dance, terrarium for music, Eklavya for sports and many more. Social life is good here.

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.
