Remarks

The overall college experience is good but the college is situated in Rajeev Gandhi south campus due to which the environment of the college was not safe much. The admission process is quite simple as it takes place through UG admission of BHU exam. Apart from that we just need to submit the documents and attend the counselling. As always BHU ranks top among the Asia's no. 1 college so there is no option of why not to prefer BHU over others. Before joining the program is read it about on an Instagram post which clearly mentioned about the joining.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is average. We have many subjects but not up to the point as compared to other colleges apart from them the teachers are good and well experienced. They are also friendly in nature and too helpful. The faculty to student ratio is negligible. We only have 4 qualified teachers in the food department. But we also have teachers from other departments who teach us well. Teachers are well qualified and experienced. They all are PhD in food management. And direct us accordingly with our course. The exam is not so difficult to pass. We have sem examinations every 4 months gap and are managed accordingly.

Placement Experience

1

Placement conditions are even worst. The college doesn't provide any placement and it is very difficult for the students to go for placements themselves. Even the internships are not worth it. They dont even provide internships but ask students to have industrial experience atleast from 2 to 3 industries. No students get placed from the college placements. It totally depends upon the students how they will tackle their future and what they can do for their internships. My plans after the degree are only one. I am going to opt for an MBA program from other institutes.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is not much as it is a government college. Apart from that, we have to submit 20,000 rs. Per semester. The fees do not get hike regularly but yes, they have increased 5,000 more compared to last year. Yes, campus jobs are available on our campus. They have a special name *Earn while Learn* which provides students with different jobs and ask them to complete thier yearly task to which they provide money.

Campus Life

2.5

The social life is worst at our campus. There are no clubs, no restaurants, just a small cafeteria. The cafeteria is not even well developed and requires more food court inside it. Also, there is a small bunty shop located on the campus. The only shop in the whole campus that provide is with every material. The library is well developed. Even BHU provide us with a cyber library. The sports day is held every year in the month of January. On sports day teacher as well as students both participate to and it goes on long for 4-5 days. Students have competition among them and the student scoring 1st rank is sent to the main campus for fighting.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel fees are negligible. They cost 2500 rs per year from the students but the food mess fees are not included in it. The hostel facility is poor. They don't have an emergency facility or emergency requirement when needed. Sometimes, even there is no light in a hostel for more than 3-4 days. Apart from this, they don't even provide us with a generator also. The hostels dont have enough games and not even well-developed area to play. The water cooler even dont work for 2-3 days. It is important for girls to opt hostels because the area doesn't have any Pgs beside them.

Placement Experience:

BHU is a well established university in every department. But some are less developed like DDU kaushal kendra RGSC BHU Mirzapur. After internship in 4 semester students become eligible for campus placement. There are limited company and agencies releted to Hospitality and Tourism Management are connected with us. About 3 to 4 lakhs of average platform if someone also actively looking forward to and only half of students get placement. Due to the not only companies but also at student end they are not capable for service industry with required skills sets. I am now planning to pursue PG in management courses from central university like BHU DU UoH etc

I chose this college as BHU is the central university and it gives most of the better facilities in study area. BHU itself is a brand that makes a person to get attracted towards it.The thing i like the most about this college is the peaceful environment. And the reason of opting the course is that fashion designing(b.voc) is my interest and it is well understood topic for me so that i can build my better career.
