Entrance Preview

I had given entrance exams of IIT JEE, BITSAT, VITEEE, SRMJEE, MANIPAL, and AKTU and scored decent in all exams but not enough to get my preferred branch in BITS Pilani, IIT's and good NIT's and so preferred to go for VIT to get my preferred branch(EEE).

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The courses VIT offers to students are very good and effective to gain knowledge but it totally how much technical knowledge he wants to gain as VIT provides ample opportunities for the students in their branch. Also, they provide enough opportunities to have some additional subjects in their own interest.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college provide internship and many do complete their internship from here but being fair I don't know much about it being new to the college but I will do update it if possible.

Placement Experience

4.5

For VIT the college placements have been always good for almost all branches, especially for CSE and IT. Companies like GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, TATA, WIPRO giving dream packages of 30-40 lakhs do come. All and all most of them get placed with good package.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides some very good loan and scholarship facilities to the students. In first-year students get a scholarship on the basis is their VITEEE ranking (25K for rank lying in-between 10000-20000 and 50K for 100-10000 while top 100 gets fee waiver seat).

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is running well for me and for others. The girl to boy ratio is good, maybe 2:3 and two words can describe its diversity, that is 'Mini India'. People from all the places do come with their different-different languages.

Exam Structure

The Exam Structure is very complex and one needs some time to understand it. In one semester One Final term (Called FAT) and two mid-terms (Called CAT) are present. These exams and labs are difficult to manage. The daily labs and classes along with these exams leave you tired.

Faculty

4

According to MHRD ranking, VIT tops in terms of faculty Ranking but I do believe ranking does not show the reality. In my experience, I found some bad(according to me) faculty also, not many but very few. But this problem is not limited to this college, this problem must be there with each and every college.

Placement Experience:

In my college, on campus placement opportunitiesd for core biotechnology and life science fields were quite limited, While there were placement drives conducted during the final year, the majority of companies that visited were from IT, customer support, and non-core sectors, which weren't directly relevant to the field of biotechnology.
