Remarks
NITJ is a well-reputed college and ranked 61 in 2020 among the top colleges for engineering. NITJ has a good management system and teaching staff. Also, students get a good placement in the engineering department. The admission process included various entrance exams from CAT, CMAT, MAT. Also, it conducts a personal NITJ test through which some students of the vacant seats are allotted confirmed seats. The admission process starts in the month of March. The only reason for preferring this college is a good infrastructure, teaching staff, and placement. I compared different colleges on Collegeduniya.com as well as Nitj.ac.in a personal site. I also proffered quora questions about asking for the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Overall, the course curriculum and faculty members are too good. Doing an MBA was a good option after my past graduation. I preferred this college because the teachers were too good and friendly here. They teach very well even in the online class. The faculty is small as compared to students. Every teacher has 20 students needed to work under them. Students are BTECH are even more than 150 but have limited teachers. But the teachers are well qualified. Most teachers have completed their P.hd degree also. Their teaching method is very different even in an online class. They keep interacting with us in the classes and keep asking questions to make us understand different topics. The term exams are in January and clear structures are mentioned to keep our camera and audio on during the online exam. It is quite tough to pass some subjects such as stats and others. But the quiz is held every week.
Placement Experience
Yes, there are some college placements provided by the college. Starting with the third semester all the placement starts alongside the studies. There is every kind of companies that visit the company like Mahindra, tata group, Wipro, etc. Every year each company takes 1 to 3 students along with them. The highest company till now was 7lpa in the 2019 batch. But the average placement is 4.5lpa. Approximately all students get placed in the end. The placement of the last students get is not good packages. But they receive some amount of packages. I am thinking to go for a good company job for at least 2 years and then further going for a startup regarding food industries.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is about 57k per semester. Generally, the fees do not increase much per year. But yes sometimes it goes to another high. There are many scholarships available for students scoring 90+ marks in the NITJ exams. Currently, due to this CoVid-19, the campus is not able to conduct any job online but there are trying their best to bring up programs online.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is very well. There is a separate sports room, libraries, culture room along with conference hall. Every semester NITJ conduct games through which some students even attend the national championships program. Teachers also play cricket and football at the annual fest held every year in November. Apart from this, there is NITJ managerial society run by the MBA students, smile-the foundation, prayas campaign, etc are run by the college students themselves. For extracurricular activities, campus conduct many games and competitions such as art competition, essay competitions on the recent topics only. The library is full of books and magazines. Even the past questions paper of the past 10 years are available in the library.
Interview Experience
Yes, the college conducted a GD/PI. Before joining the campus and passing the minimum eligibility criteria, there is a GD/PI session. The topics asked to me were the difference between mind, brain, and thought. They also asked me about my life goals, my strength, and weaknesses along with what I can do when I will be in college. The admission process was quite easy. First, we need to apply online form. Then we need to send our required documents and then have GD/PI. After then passing all things we got selected. It's easy to prepare for GD/PI. Through youtube videos and other sites for learning about the questions.
