Ranked no 1 in Mumbai excluding the IITs. The brightest minds of the state visit this college. The admission process was handled by DTE and the entrance was CET. There were multiple CAP rounds and the process was almost online.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had an interest in Computer Engineering and thus chose this course. The qualification of teachers is either masters or phd. Majority of the permanent staff has a PhD. There is one unit test and one term exam. The difficulty level is pretty good. It is quite difficult for a few subjects and decent for others.
Internships Opportunities
Summer Intern, summer analyst are the roles offered by companies like Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Samsung, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Chase, Barclays, Pricewater Cooper, Citi Bank etc. Besides, the projects are based on the company.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 7. And then there are internship opportunities from sem 5. Computer department almost always has 100% placement. And they usually get paid internships in the third year itself.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for my admission year were 78k and have been about the same. For further years, there has been some fee hike. There is scholarship facility for people with scheduled classes and those with lower family income based on merit. I personally didn't get any scholarship.
Campus Life
The annual fests include Enthusia- sports fest, Pratibimb- cultural festival and Technovanza the tech fest. All of these fests occur in December. There is a 16 acres campus where these fests are conducted. There is a cricket ground, football ground and basketball court for outdoor activities and a gymkhana for indoor activities.
