I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . 1.I choose this college because of its reputation over campus placements. It has high placement percentage. 2. I got NIT Jalandhar cse and NIT Raipur CSE but i preffered NIT Jamsedpur ece due to its high campus placement percentage. 3.The main entry for joining in NIT Jamsedpur was through JEE mains exam. We have to attain atleast a percentile of 98.5% or above for obc and general categories....Read More

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment. The admission takes place through jossa and csab councelling as per your jee mains rank.the process is little bit slow,you have to go on via a 6 round jossa councelling and then 2 rounds of csab councelling.You will get the seat in any of the rounds as per rank....Read More
