Internship review

It is a group of Manipal colleges, and it is very reputed. That's why I decided to attend this college. I prefer this college to fellow students because the faculty and facilities are absolutely top-notch and the value of a degree in the future is very high.

I chose Electronics and Communication because the course was a merge between computers and electronics thus providing the opportunity to study both. There are about 38 students for 1 teacher, which is a very good ratio. The teachers are highly qualified with MTechs and Phd's from reputed colleges. The teaching quality is great and is based on critical thinking. Doubt solving and doubt clearing sessions are always conducted and teachers encourage students to ask questions. The curriculum is constantly being updated with the latest standards to make the student's industry-ready.

Many companies come to the college to provide internships. Most of the companies are IT companies providing the role of side or analyst. Medtronic, Boston scientific, Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini, ixia, Microsoft, shell are the companies which provide internships.

All students qualified for placements are getting placed via campus placements. For 2021 batch placements are going on since August, and companies are still visiting, considering the pandemic. The average package is from 3.5-10 Lakhs. Top recruiting companies are - Dell, Microsoft, Cognizant, Shell, Capgemini, Infosys, Boston scientific and all other top MNC's. Various placement and internship drives are conducted through the year. The top roles offered are of - SDE, Analyst. sales and marketing jobs are also provided.

Scholarships are provided to those who have above 80% in their 12th. Various loans are available to pay off the initial fees. The fees are 1400000-15000000 for 4 years. The facilities are absolutely state of the art. There is a sports complex called Marena which has a huge food court, basketball court, tennis court, a huge and modern gym with a pool, table tennis, carrom games. There are a football ground and amphitheatre present which hosts all cultural activities and fests. There is an immediate medical help facility also present. There are technological and cultural fests conducted throughout the year. There is a student club for each and every activity possible. "Kaalrav" the biggest fest of Northeast, happens During Feb - March which is the highlight of the year. Participation is important in college activities to enjoy college life.

The hostels are as good as it gets. 24 hrs drinking water supply, 24 hrs hot water supply is present. 2 students have to share 1 room with a common attached toilet. There are 4 meals provided throughout the day and the menu keeps in varying. Hostel rent is included in the fees. Various PGs are also located at walking distance from the college.

There was a MUOET test conducted which consisted of questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. I prepared for these rounds side by side with the Jee preparation. The criteria for admission is 60% and above in 10th and 12th.
