Entrance Preview

I have qualified Jee main 2014 and scored 136 marks. I have opted this particular college because my cousins live in bhopal and this colg( Uit rgpv) is reputed college of central india and is famous for electrical branch. It seemed to be very fruiful.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very nice and well arranged in proper manner. Our course is distributed in several parts. This course offer theoretical as well as practical knowledge. Lab assessment carry good weightage in our examinations and thus very helpful in our practical knowledge

Internships Opportunities

No, absolutely no as far as i know my college do not provide any internship and all such thing. I think this is a big flaw of my college.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities are average in my college not upto the mark but. My college students qualify Gate exam with good marks and geyt the job in psu's like IOCL,BHEL,GALE and over 20 psus. Companies like TCS, infosys,Trident came to campus and recruited more 300 students last year.

On an average i can say that there are 3-4 fests and technical events are conducted in my college. Antaragni, the cultural fest of iit kharagpur is conducted every year in my college. Two cultural societies are thete in my college used to conduct tech fests and cultural events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very feasible i would day.they charge only 31000 per year including bus fee.this fee include library charge as well as tutuion fee While oter private colleges in bhopal take atleast 60000 per year for the same course.

Campus Life

Gender ratio varies according to branch. Like in my branch there are 44 boys and 17 girls out of 61 students. In IT branch thera are 40 girls and 20 boys. In civil branch there are 51 boys and 9 girls. Extracurricular activities: Annual sports event named MAHASANGRAM is organised every year and Robotics workshop also held every sem.

Exam Structure

My be course offer 8 semesters throughout.Each semester is comprised of total 1000 marks of which 200 marks for each subject usually. Theory exams conducted each of marks 100. 50 marks for mid semester exams and quiz assignment .Rest 50 marks are for lab and practical Ya schedule become so hectic as it starts from 10 am and ends at 5:30 pm.

Admission

I' ve got admission through jee main score. Firstly i have verified my documents followed by registration process and counselling as well as choice filling. Later,i have to report there on institute to confirm my seat .

Faculty

I would not say my faculty is excellent but i would like to say that they are up to the mark. Though our dean academics name Mr. Vinay thaper is excellent teacher,mantor as well best person i have ever seen.

Likes

Peaceful environment, good teachers, hostel and canteen.
Bus availability is just wowwww, the hostel balcony is big and nice.
Fab lab is there , pantry is there , the orientation week was so nice , It was a really nice welcome.

Dislikes

Less crowd like less students cause it's a design college.
Mostly students are from pune, mumbai, Delhi... They are good but I wish there were more people from other places as well , I don't really vibe with them.
Too much assignments are given, it feels stressful most of the times.

Placement Experience:

No idea about placements for now. But I heard they are good. Maximum package was of 10 lakh I guess. From 3rd year internships starts. Many students start working from 2nd year . Many times the Jury also give offers to the students if their work is really great.

Avantika university is great but…

Good faculty good curriculum of assignments
Veg food is nice. campus has dogs tooooo
Festivals celebrated widely. Unity encouraged

Dislikes

Campus very small. No fests. Very outskirts
Campus is surrounded by village for like 5kms of radius
Too difficult to get basic necessities. No stationary available. Main city is far far away. Non veg not available.

Placement Experience:

The college gives a decent placement. Considering the fact that I chose graphic design. My main focus will be on freelancing and not a particular full time job. Win win even if I don't get good placement from college

Right from recieving the offer letter mentioning about takshashila, nalanda, ujjain and such ancient educational hubs were established and we want to create a school ahead of its time just like these great schools
I really loved the curriculum. The faculties, their teaching method is absolutely amazing and reliable
There is no hierarchy system. You can go and talk to any faculty/HOD/Dean and even you can talk with the management. You don't have to first ask 10 peoples before reaching out to them. This system shows transparency of the college

Dislikes

Clubs should be active in the college. I mean almost every club is not functional.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The first year is the foundation year... In which every small yet necessary things is taught to you. We're told about an assignment in briefing. And how we've to do the assignment is left on us to explore our creativity to use our mind in creation of something this is originally yours. This approach helps you to grow as a creative being... It prepares really well. I mean I used my learnings from my first semester in my second semester and it helped me to achieve a different and very unique design for many assignments given in the second semester. No such improvements for the curriculum. I've spoken to some NID visiting facilities too about the same. They say the appropriate approach to teach an important course has been followed in your college which sometimes is not even followed in NID too. We've a sem end jury which helps us to gain external validation for our work as a designer that helps us to grow.

Too much pressure, too much assignments, small area.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is a massive market of gaming in all over the world but in India , a lot of things are very limited, and gaming industry is also a part of that . But correct govts vission and commitment to boost the AVGC sector drew me to choose this course . In this course every institutes charge a massive number of fees , so if govt can open some institutes in low fees for the middle-class people too that will be helpful. Exams are easy , and exams are held in every 2-3 months
