Government affiliated hotel management colleges certificate by IGNOU. It is one of the best college in northern part of India and amoung top 15 in hotel management colleges in India (government ). Here students can learn course like bsc in hospitality and diploma also in subject like f&b or production and can get job in hotel. The placement was good (was good before covid 19 pandemic ) but they are trying to provide as much as compus placement to students. Student studying from this college can easily get job in 5 star hotel like Taj,Oberoi, Marriott international, Leela, accor hotel and many food outlets like dominos Pizza, KFC, MacDonald, burger King, barbecue nation etc
Course Curriculum Overview
Every student persuing bsc in hospitality has to do 4 month industry training provided by college or self searched 5 star hotel in all major department like in front office, food production, food and beverage service, Housekeeping. The students will be selected in group and they Will be assigned a handler faculty who will help them to get intership in hotel. After getting intership they will be rewarded certificate which is helpful for students to get job later
Placement Experience
Company like taj Leela Marriott accor come for placement. Student are selected for H.O.T or M.T program
College Events
Campus like is good as the college is situated in Shillong the scotchland of east the temperature is good and we celebrate all festival in ihm Shillong with joy. There is no wifi. And gym is promised from college that they will install.
Campus Life
It is equipped with all type of lab required in hotel industry example like high end kitchen with latest equipment and all type of big small equipment used in hotel from oven to different type of cutter
Hostel Facilities
Hotel room is to be shared by 3 students in one room. Cost of hotel room is 98k per yr food included. The hotel is inside college campus so it is safe for students. Daily cleaning of toilet and public area are provided
