Remarks

Good placements, nice faculities, near from home. Then my fathers home is also there so i likr that place very much. Then some other factors influenced me are the climate as its near the beach its always cool.

Course Curriculum Overview

The couse was btech in mechanical engineering. And the university was Mg university. I love mechanical engineering because i have a passion for mechanics from the childhood. I love the curriculam also.

Good reputed companies visited my college. And lots of people got placed in many reputed companies.

College Events

Campus life was very awesome enjoyed the teenage life completly there. It was really like a family for me there and almost all friends are like best friends. The culture of our college was very famous.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didnt know about scholorshipe because i didnt get any but there are students who got it. Loan facilities were available.

Campus Life

Wifi facility was there. Good canteen and foods of all varieties are available with descent price and with good quality. All sports facilities are available there. And also swimming pool was there. Good teachers.

Hostel Facilities

I didnt opt for hostel. The hostel rooms are very nice and have Ac in all rooms and also tv is available in the Mess. The rent for the hostel food and hostel was fair. We lived there very happily. It was a joyfull atmoshphere.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

There was no entrance examination for entering the course , mostly they consider marks and there are reservation benefits for some students. The admission application form can be downloaded from online portals fmor directly approaching the college .
