Anonymous's Review On Karunya Institute Of Technology And Sciences - [Karunya Deemed University], Coimbatore

My elder sister was a graduate from this university, also me being from a Christian background my parents are more interested in joining me into a Christian minority institution. also, I am getting the merit scholarship of 1,20,000 per annum for my performance in academics. so most of my fees are being covered by the scholarship.

Our course curriculum is not so well designed. we do lack more core subjects in my curriculum. so we had to learn it from various other online sources. we have something called as International Association of Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE) in our college which aims in giving the international exposure to the students in the university by providing the abroad internships, my college also takes us to industries and companies as a part of Industrial visits. We have a very friendly and experienced faculty here at university we can always approach them whenever we need clarifications in academics as well as career guidance. we also have the DOVE (Department of Value Education) which aims in providing the motivation and self-confidence in the students along with teaching the moral values to the students.

There are few set of core and product based companies visit our university some of them are IBM, ZOHO, NUTANIX, TECH Mahindra, Accenture, AMAZON, CAPGEMINI, INFOSYS, BYJUS, HYUNDAI MOBIS, TATA consultancies, WIPRO etc. There is a famous startups from my batchmates like New10s online shopping and PrintIn.

Campus life is great. But we miss extra circular activities in our college, My college mainly focus on the Christian spirituality events so we usually won't be having cultural fests. and 2 years back they used to conduct technical events but later due to lack of sponsors my college isn't doing many technical events from last 2 years.

My college is offering me a scholarship of 1,20,000 per annum, I was eligible for this scholarship because i had 95% in PCB in my 12th grade. My scholarship get renewed year based on the performance in the previous year. I am supposed to maintain 8.5 CGPA along with 95% attendance in both class and in assembly which are calculated separately to avail the scholarship for the next year.

My college does contain the well-equipped labs, we have a library of 3 floors and CTC (Computer technology centre) and 4 auditoriums in college. we have 24*7 WI-FI at the campus and even hostels, we get newspapers daily at hostels, we have different grounds like a football ground, volleyball ground, cricket ground, and also indoor stadium.

Our hostels are good and well maintained, some of the hostels are bit old but they aren't bad. We have the 24*7 cool and hot water facility at hostels and we do have water heaters/geysers in washrooms. and we have spacious balconies in every hostel. Electronic items like washing machines aren't allowed inside the hostels.
