Entrance Preview

I took admission by Management quota. I wrote Karnataka CET. But didn't get a good rank. I was interviewed by Chairman. Just a simple interview.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Medical curriculum through out the country is more or less same. But we still are following old techniques of learning. More emphasis should be put on Research. Research part of learning process is mostly neglected in many of the colleges including mine.

Internships Opportunities

Every medical college has one year compulsory rotatory internship. No stipend is paid for interns (until now-2016) Internships exist I think but no one came to our college to do internship from other colleges. To do internship outside my college we will have to pay a certain amount of penalty to get No objection certificate.

Placement Experience

4

Since is there is derth for doctors in our country getting a descent job with descent pay is not difficult. As JR is some hospitals salary may vary from ₹20000 to ₹100000 in some hospitals. Also we can apply to government jobs and also write central government exams like UPSC and get a job.

College Events

4

Our college hosts annual day in the month of November (usually) It includes both sports and cultural activities. Sports are like Cricket, volley ball, badminton, throw ball, Kho Kho, Table tennis. Overall usually have around 50 events. College also conducts inter departmental cricket event called DPL doctors premier league every year sponsored by department heads.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees for government seats is decided by NTR university of Health sciences, Vijayawada. Fee cost has increased over past year. As of I know there are categories in NTRUHS seats. Fee varying from ₹10000 to ₹1100000 per year for a merit seat. Management seat cost raising every year. Though it cannot be disclosed it can reach very high.

Fees and Financial Aid

Student loan can be availed form all major banks I guess. Government provides scholarships and reimbursements for certain categories of students. INDIAN bank once used to be in the college building itself but now has been shifted outside just opposite to the campus.

Campus Life

4

Campus is great. It's around 80-100 Acres. The college was inaugurated in 2001/2002 by then President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. It has main College building , a auditorium, canteen, hospital with a new super specialty block, hostels and cricket ground. Many more buildings yet to come.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostels were initially difficult to adjust to especially for first timers. As of now, there are two hostels for boys and two for girls. One of the hotsel consists of shared rooms and other consists of single rooms. Fist year student are usually allotted shared rooms only. Shared rooms usually has 3-2 people per room. Also this hostel has a common bathroom, two in each floor. The mess is conned to this hostel. Other hostel has single rooms. quite small actually. With two common bathrooms in each floor. Hostel are being renovated and improved now. Our stay was not that pleasant. Summer time there will be shortage of water and electricity. Apart for these there is a separate hostel for Post graduates, two staff quarters and a newly built apartment complex called Hill view apartments.

Alumni/Alumna

As such there is no alumni formed yet. Seniors are friendly. Ragging is zero. Ragging is completely banned. There is no student union either.

Exam Structure

Medical colleges especially private colleges are a little particular about their results now a days. So we used to have assignments, class test and weekly tests other than 3 internal exams both theory and practicals. And one external exam every year.

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty were good. Classes were good. Teaching was far better than most of the government colleges. But of course some teachers weren't that great as it was learning process for them too. Overall teaching was descent enough for a degree college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1}the specific aspect that influenced my decision are my parent and relatives who hold the social stigma of being a doctor can give a secured life whereas nowadays doctor is one of the most vulnerable profession due to the incidents that are happening recently 2}the cirriculum is not great for students when it comes to the topic of facing real world situations as being in pvt.college doesnt exopse us to vasr amount of patients and mostly the graduates dont know how to deal with patients 3}the areas that should need an improvement is in imrpoving dissection hall facilities and posting lessers members in a sysytematic way to give time for each and every student a better exposure to the patients 4}the frequency of exams is adequate enough for an above avg student to cope up with the burdensome and vast syllabus but it might be diffucult for a below avg student and my perspective of the difficulty level is somewhat tough and stressful

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually MBBS is structured in such a way that it helps students step by step to learn.. it's anything but perfect .. I am not in a position to suggest but when we are exposed to this vast world in first year which is entirely new to us,it is difficult for us to adjust. We step by step start learning to accommodate in this new world and by the time we adjust and start reading first year comes to and end and then only running,we don't have time to atleast cover our basics so that we can continue for further 3 years.. basics when we aren't aware of we can't confidently go into next years syllabus, but if we try studying basics in the next year we will be again lagging the next year syllabus and cycle goes on.. Mental pressure is the most common that we all feel and for relieving we don't have anything,no cultural activity,no sports,nothing.. that is why many are getting on the wrong side and getting addicted to phone, movies, other addictions
