Remarks

The management is progressive and keen on developing new things for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

University is driven - revised syllabus every 5-6 years. Contemporary subjects. Experienced faculty, campus placements, a sprawling campus with well-equipped labs. The library facility, cultural activities, technical teaching, and diversity of students made it easy for us to bloom into great profeesionals

Placement Experience

2.5

Internship was recommended by the department and help provided for. Placement committee organised by placememt officer with excellent public relations and industry / research collaboration ensured.

College Events

3.5

Cultural fest, photography, sports, elocutions, management, quiz programs, endurance tests, etc were a part of the fests actively hosted to name a few. This was done department wise which inculcated a mix of healthy competition and effective collaboration among students to foster the best personality for them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very reasonable being a government-aided college. The monthly fees were Rs 50 and the exam fees were 81. This included additional facilities like swimming pool, badminton and cricket coaching, etc. There was absolute transparency in fee structure as this was a government-aided college.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I have not availed of any scholarship facilities but however, the reserved category students were offered several scholarships to facilitate their studies

Campus Life

The gender ratio was very poor for mechanical engineering but however was good for computer science, architecture, electronics, etc. The college offer equal opportunity to all castes, religion, race, language, ethnicity sexual orientation, politics, or economic status.

Hostel Facilities

Yes, there were 3 hostels for men with good rooms, sanitation, and boarding facilities. The hostel had a tv, sports facilities, and the mess was run by inmate's contributory basis. The canteen workers were helpful and the warden was friendly providing much-needed support whenever required.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. There has been a spectacular alumni network being a college established in the 1960s. The alumni are well spread across the world and every year alumni meet are held to enhance student-alumni interaction. All major cities also have alumni chapters that promote networking.

Admission

Interested in the subject. Got a merit seat through the exam and was well versed with this subject and wanted to make a career in this. A state-level merit list was taken out based on the exam ranking followed by the preference given by the candidate in terms of branch and college. The allotment was automatic on the basis of computer output.

Faculty

4

Doctorates. Masters in mechanical engineering all profeesors. Well experienced laboratory technicians for all practicals. The lab had extensive experience in their area. The profeesors also had industry exposure and were running a consultation for several industries around.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
