Remarks
It is one of the best colleges to do MBA, the one and only issue is the huge batch strength.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's a 2 year PGDM course and each year is divided into 4 terms. So each term is approximately of 2-2.5 months followed by end term exams. The first 3 terms are common subjects across all branches. The next 2 terms are focused on your major. The next term (6th term) is for your minor branch and 7th and 8th terms are for electives (subjects of our own interests irrespective of major and minor chosen. So it really widened my horizon and made me aware about business aspect from all the sides.
Placement Experience
The list of companies that visit the campus and their industries are very much available on the college website itself. We had more of IT/ITES and BFSI companies. Placements begin from October and go on till March given the huge batch strength. We've a placement week in November. Almost all students are placed barring a few for reasons best known to them. And yes, we've mock GD and PI in college. Internships in the DCP course I'd say aren't that great, but for the overall PGDM batch is quite good.
College Events
We had all sorts of events on campus. In fact I was in the social and cultural committee so we were the ones organizing half of the events. Right from celebrating each festival, to chakravyuh which is a very big sports event to marketing events to B school case study competitions, it is a very lit campus I'd say.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The PGDM DCP course is more on the expensive side. Mode of payment is mostly online through net banking. There were no holding fees as such. Yes, transparency was there in the fee structure, the complete breakdown was mentioned that too along with the dates when each installment was to be paid. They were a bit flexible about it too if there was any issue.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't opt for loan or scholarship. But what I've heard was that college had a tie up with SBI bank at low interest rates.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is something that can be improved. Student diversity was good, we had people from all sorts of backgrounds even though majority was engineers. As already mentioned there are a lot of extracurricular activities going on in the campus by each and every club and committee. The prestigious B school competitions was a huge part of brand image of college since we've won so many of them. We had a very huge sports event too.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, it's a residential campus. Yes, the hostel rooms were fine specially in the Dubai campus. We had an option of twin sharing or a single room. The price of single room was slightly higher. All the rooms had AC too. Hostel fees were a part of overall fees and it was compulsory.
Alumni/Alumna
We've a very strong alumi association and they've helped all of us tremendously. There were students whose offers were revoked due to covid19 pandemic and the alumni network has been really helpful in finding jobs for 2020 batch.
Admission
I got interview call on the basis of CAT percentile and my profile. The interview process was smooth, the interview was in February, it was a Group Exercise followed by a Personal Interview. I got the selection result in April. One thing about IMT Ghaziabad is that it gives admission strictly on the basis of merit, there is no reservation. So if anyone is below the cutoff percentile will not even be called for the interview process.
Faculty
We had approximately 16-20 lectures per course. The faculty, particularly that of marketing was very good. Average age of faculty would be in the range of 45-50. We had visiting faculty, faculty with industry expertise too. We had guest lectures too wherein a subject matter expert for a particular topic was called to teach that.
