Firstly, as I wanted to pursue Economics hons I wasn't able to take admission in whole Kolkata,as this subject doesn't have much seats here. But this college give 100 students this chance to have this subject as a Hons paper. In other colleges maximum number of students who can have this subject is 20-30 only. You get really good teachers here. They are helpful and also interactive. The infrastructure of the college is best you can get in Kolkata. In this college every department have different rules so if you want to pursue BCOM or BBA it's better if you can get to know about different departments from the college website. The admission procedure is great as you get one whole day including the given room numbers in the college to give all the data and submit all the papers. If you have any problem then you can also contact college office. They also give scholarship for few students This college also give you opportunity for other activities(like dance, music and many other)

As I was a commerce student. I had few options like BCOM BBA but I didn't want to pursue those that's why I opted for BSc economics. This college have the maximum students of 100 for this course and you will not get this number of students anywhere else in Kolkata. Other colleges only give 20-30 students to have this course. In this college 5 economics teachers are there for 100 students. Teaching method is really good weekly you also get seminars and problem solving classes. There you can contact any teacher and can ask and state your problems regarding any topic you want. Exams are conducted on the basis of Calcutta university which is you have semester exams on every 6 months. Exams are totally dependent on the university and not on college. And I would suggest if you are good at maths and stats then only pursue this course or else you can have few difficulty in your studies.

I am a second year student so I don't know much about placements but yes considering the facts of extra curricular activities and all the webinars and seminars you attend you will get the certificate of every event you attend which immediately increase the value of your CV. Many companies are also contacted through these events so there are high chances of bright students to get great chance.

Yearly fees is 46100 but due to Corona they only take 6 months fees and if you are thinking about extra expenses like for books then you can remove the stress of expenses of books and study material as this college provide you library facilities which is best and is sufficient for you to take notes. So those extra expenses are removed. You get scholarship also in terms of your marks in your 12 boards. All the details you can get in college website. Campus is best here. Food facilities are good.

Umang is the best and populist college fest you will heard of. We have different collectives in college also. You can be a part of these collectives according to your interest. We have different collectives like flames(for dance), NCC, NSS, EcoFor BE-ites (for economics), Crescendo (for music), Besc Setu, and many others. All these collectives are run by students. And we have seminars and webinars for every collective. Any student who is interested can attend those. We also have a great library facility. Where you can get numerous books and if you don't find one you can contact library teachers and they will provide you with the book you want. You can issue 4 books at a time and reissue it as many times as you want and because of that I don't even purchase books. I just rely on library and all the books I can get.
