Remarks
UPID is a Government college and is AICTE approved. The institute has well established laboratories. Apart from that, they hav good faculty members from top colleges like IITs. Another major advantage is its prime location - Noida (Delhi-NCR) which makes it more easy to get internships and experience. Very less student: faculty ratio helps in proper attention and guidance. The management is pretty good. The course fee is quite reasonable for a Design course. The workshops are one of the best part of the institute. Also, there are several Industry tie ups and MOUs which are beneficial for the students. There are also Guest lectures quite regularly which helps us in gaining tips from the leading designers in the industry.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course syllabus is revised every 1-2 years which ensures that the students get an extremely well curated syllabus which is in demand in the industry. There are also industrial visits every few days which helps us know more about the industry.
Placement Experience
The college has it senior most batch in 4th year only, hence there have been no placements till now. However there are several tie ups and MOUs to make sure that students are placed in well established industries.
College Events
There are several extra curricular activities carried out in the institute. One of them was Surge-19 which was a 2 day sports event in which the students and faculty members took part actively. However, since the college is non residential and has pretty less students, there are not a large no. Of fests.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is scholarship for SC/ST and OBC students, and also for the ones in need. There is also a rural quota for admission.
Campus Life
The library is quite good with a large number of books related to Design. There is free WiFi for students. The workshops are well equipped with hand tools and modern machines like lathe, etc. There are separate metal and wood workshops for convenience.
Hostel Facilities
There are no hostels provided by the institute. However, there is another Girl's hostel nearby whose pricing start from 8000 INR per month. The facilities provided there are quite good and it's actually very neat, clean and hygienic.
