Remarks
So, the major factor that pushed me to join Delhi University(DU) was my previous experience in Graduation. The three years of BA(Hons) English which I spent with DU were so fruitful and productive, that when I got the chance to take admission into Master's program I immediately applied. The kind of exposure and liberal environment that one gets in the campus is mesmerizing and inspiring at the same time. And, the fact that the university is so huge comprising of 60+ colleges makes it even more exciting. It is because when one is a student of one college, one ultimately gets so many opportunities to participate in scores of other colleges as well. Thus, I (again) joined Delhi University, where I am a student at present also. I took this course as I am interested in English literature and wish to learn more and more about it. I have extreme inclination and also fascination towards the books, and with the critical theories and philosophies taught to literature students.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course- Our course syllabus was fully updates in the year 2019. That was luckily the year when new syllabus structure was introduced after years. Industrial Exposure- I am in literature field which is completely academic and theoretical. Thers's no such Industrial Exposure required/provided in MA in English. Faculty-As is the case with every other College/University, here also some professors are really dedicated providing well-researched updated material and some are just average. The best professors at our campus are- Subarno Chattarji, Anjana Sharma, Tapan Basu, Priya Sharma, Rimli Bhattacharya, Ira Raja and Christel Devadawson.
Placement Experience
There is no such placement opportunity in MA English. The students are own their own. As it is an academic field, many of the students go for Ph.D after their completion of Master's degree. Others go for B.Ed and other teaching courses.
College Events
Campus life at Delhi University is as fascinating and exciting as it sounds. The major reason of this is the 60+ colleges that falls under this one Delhi University. So the student of one college is free to go to scores of other colleges for participation in any activity/fest according to one's interests. Social and cultural fests related to all fields happen here which assists in holistic development of students.
Campus Life
There are two Campuses of Delhi University- North Campus and South Campus. Both the campuses are well-developed, though South Campus is really spacious and gives a total natural feel as it is surrounded with so much greenery and feels like one is wandering in a forest. The library is multi-storied huge building, with well-furnished computer facilities and wi-fi availability.
