Remarks

Because the crowd you get here in this college is best. The campus is so huge that you make a lot of memories & friends too. Also the faculty and teachers are too good and polite. Education here is really nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think the course was taught within the time. The teachers and faculty did help the students to understand every difficulty they had. We had this amazing sir in our second year, I don't remember his name but he taught economics to BMM student. He was so polite and sweet. Honestly one of the best teacher I had in my life <3

Placement Experience

You are not only provided placements & jobs after the degree but also before the degree. The college provides placements during the first year & second year too. The placement cell is good here. Just need opportunities from big companies too. Rest everything is best.

College Events

The best part about the college is FESTS!!!!! Fests are the only reason most of the students come to college. You meet and become friends with a lot of people during this time. And honestly my friends also come when somaiya fests comes as it is always held so huge and big. Love the campus life.

Campus Life

The campus is pretty huge. It has so many things to do. The facilities are also good. They have so many canteens, you have so many options to explore. Everything about the college is perfect. I wish they had a swimming pool too for swimming classes.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

The college is best for placement and club activity

Placement Experience:

In my branch, the placement is good In 2025, 150 students are placed in Wipro, infosys, Amazon and Google like companies the minimum package is seven lakh. Also in my branch one Student it is placed in Amazon with 47 lakh rupees package in college. They already prepare Student for interviews and aptitude test. The placement cell is conduct aptitude test with the Google for students for each semester in that they test our coding skills, English skills and attitude test from that they give us a detail information in which skills are lacking and on which skill we want to work

Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. Placement Experience:

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS

I applied to KJ and Rizvi as well and got confirmation from Rizvi, but after comparing it with SK Somaiya in aspects such as sports and curriculam, SK Somaiya was the best fit for me. I did get rejected in KJ Somaiya because of my marks in 10th, KJ is known to have the highest cut-offs. The admission process is centralised and is done on the basis of merit and seat available.
