Remarks

It has a nice and progressive reputation in Bhopal and in this year it is now the top most college of Madhya Pradesh. It is having a nice infrastructure and also is very specific. The college is also having some army background which really was impressive

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus was very updated, we were provided with some of the industrial exposure but not that much, the faculties are very active towards students but some of our subjects has to suffer a lot, the reason was that there were no permanent faculty to teach that particular subject, but the authorities communicated with us and provided us with a nice faculty after sometime.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities are extremely impressive, they are giving us classes from the first year for interviews and placements so that we can improve our self in a very nice defined way. They provided us with internship classes so that we can work on our skills, they gave us new projects so that we can learn some good skills.

College Events

4.5

The college authorities really supports extra curricular activities of the student, the increases people to speak and to perform on stage so as to increase their confidence, the information about extra curricular activities is provided in advance.

Campus Life

the infrastructure of the college is very nice, there are small parks with debentures to sit around and there is one big ground to play around and to sit, there is no Wi-Fi connection but there is also no internet problem, the libraries are really huge and the equipments of labs are good.

Dislikes

Small campus no own sports ground for football and cricket we have to share it with other campus
Canteen can be improved the sitting area and new options in menu
Still very few systems of labs are not working like 1/10

Placement Experience:

Our College works very hard for placement like they initiate new programmes every year for the betterment of the batch so that they can improve their placement every year. They have launched launched D 99 batch P 30 batch arrange so many seminars College to corporate training placement, training company visits and everything the placement is our college works very hard for the students to get them placed anyhow with a very good package.

Average college with no placements and exposure

Likes

I like infrastructure of the campus... infrastructure are very beautiful.
Library. I like library facilities college provide and we can take book from there.
Canteen not..much but I likes this average

Dislikes

Placement their is no placement or limit placement only 2-3LPA
Bus Facility their Very poor bus facilities
Labs their labs computer are not working properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.

My life in Oriental university

Likes

I liked the overall campus environment of the university . The campus is quite large ,clean and has good infrastructure.
The labs in college in are well equipped especially for computer science student . some system have configuration like 16 gb ram .
the faculty member are supportive and helpful. teachers are always ready to guide student , clear doubts and personal situation whenever needed

Dislikes

the quality of mess food is average and sometimes not up to expections. There are limited option and some food combination not liked by students
There are single water cooler in available , which sometimes create problem for both boys and girls.
we are sometimes fined for low attendance ,bunking class or even sitting in the canteen during lecture hours

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is decent but not exceptionsal. it covers the basic and important subject required for the course so you dont get a good theoritical understanding. However some parts of the syllabus feel outdated and fully aligned with current industry requirments. the course had a good mix of course subjects and some practical components on paper which looked promising at the time of admission. The overall structure seemed relevent for building foundational knowledge.

Choosing a college is a major decision, and for many students OIST Bhopal, the choice often comes down to abalance between legacy, regional repution, and practical constraints. Students typically compare OIST with other top private colleges in Madhya Pradesh such as LNCT or VIT Bhopal. My rank falls in the 1.5 Lakh to 5 Lakh range, OIST becomes a primary choice. It offers the same RGPV degree as the government colleges but with a more structured trainig program for private placements. The admission process is centralized and follows the guidelines of the Directorate of Technicial Education(DTE), Madhya Pradesh. Qualifying exams: 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics(PCM). Minimum Marks:45% aggregate in 12th Accepted Exams:JEE Main is the primary and most preferred exam. Admissions are also possible based on 12th-grade merit during later rounds or through college level counselling(CLC) phase.
