The college has a great reputation with regards to academics to which it lives upto. Also, I chose this college due to it's proximity to my place and ease of accessibility. In addition, the college is known for it's infamous Fest- Alegria The Festival of Joy.
Course Curriculum Overview
PCACS has a great panel of educationalists who are ever evolving with the changing times. During my study at PCACS, I never felt the need to be bothered about my education, because through theory and practicals, my academics was taken care of with supreme priority. Faculty members of the college are keen on enhancing the skills of students. They are very helpful in shaping talents and building confidence in the student through small and big tasks and endeavors.
Internships Opportunities
While studying, we could do part time internships. I had done my internship at Tannlines Sports as a Content Manager and Social Media Strategist and my stipend was _5000
Placement Experience
Placements are limited to few departments. BMM didn't have much placements. The jobs offered to us were not very much related to our field of study. The BMM department is still growing in the Pillai Campus, so we are expecting many more companies to come up for placement drives for the BMM Department.
College Events
Pillai College has an excellent student Council crew that manages various events and activities for the students throughout the year. To add on that, the college hosts one of India's best college cultural fest called 'Alegria - The Festival Of Joy'. Various departments of the college have their own activities as well to nourish and encourage the students. It also makes sure that the students are getting a taste of their own fields through these departmental activities. Through all these events and activities, the college makes sure that the student, through jovial college days and responsible leadership, is practically ready for the next phase of life.
Fees and Financial Aid
Though I haven't personally applied for loans or scholarship, the college offers monetary aids to those in dire need of the same.
Campus Life
Pillai Campus is equipped with state of the art infrastructure. The campus consists of an excellence college of books and research material in it's libraries. It has the fully equipped auditorium and multiple open theatre-like set ups for holding various events and activities. The college also is a home to a synthetic turf and playground for sports enthusiasts. The 'Epic Cafe' of the college is a canteen that's one of its own kind. Apart from these, the college consists of various laboratories, media labs and computer rooms. Hostel facilities are also available for boys and girls separately. The greatest advantage of the college is that it's very comfortable for a commute. It's at a walking distance of ten minutes from the Panvel Railway station, with share rikshaws very easily available.
