Remarks
It is nearer to my home place and includes less travelling from the nearest railway station. Apart from that the college has a very disciplined environment, Good loving teachers and provides exposure to various cultural and technical activities and events. I opted Computer Engineering because I am keen into entering an IT firm once I graduate.
Course Curriculum Overview
Talking about the course syllabus, it isn't much updated by Mumbai university as such. But our college does organize few good workshops and seminar that provide us good exposure to different technologies and industries. I would say 50% of the faculty are really good. The other 50% need to improve their teaching skills, but when it comes to lab sessions or doubt solving, almost all of them are really good.
Placement Experience
My college has a good record of students getting both high and medium packages from many companies. If I were to rate the placement opportunities provided by my college for Computer Engineering it would be 70% (The other 30% also includes students not getting job because of low CGPA score )
College Events
My college is well known for its extracurricular activites. The campus life is really cool when it comes to interacting with students from different departments, as it has other departments like BMS, Hotel Management, etc. in the same campus. There are many core Cultural fests and other departmental fests too which involves participation of all the students. It has a sports fest and technical fest too, but has less participation as compared to the cultural fest. Apart from that my college has a lot of student chapters that keep you engaged throughout the academic year.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have availed the TWFS quota which is provided by all the MU colleges on the basis of merit and other qualifications.
Campus Life
My college has a really good infrastructure when it comes to sports. There is no wifi facility. It does have a very well maintained library. Talking about the Computer labs, 50% of the equipment are not well maintained. Apart from that other labs like electronic and mechanical do have good set of equipment. The classrooms are very neat and spacious enough and there other many other halls for committee meetings and seminars/
