Remarks

Esteemed college and is ranked 2nd by NIRF in kolkata Education facility and faculty is good Semester cbcs system Provides the best support needed Teachers are helping Laboratories are well equipped. Calcutta university is one of the best Universities in India which rank among the best 10 universities

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus is pretty up to date but needs few modifications More exposure is needed Internship facilities should be provided Course is more or less flexible Practicals are well performed except a few which are not needed

We are not a placement oriented college Rarely companies come to our college We do get calls We have seminars which do play an important role in placement We get information about placement But there is a placement cell

College Events

We have a gym but everybody dies not have access We have a common room The auditorium is very big and centrally air conditioned Campus life is normal Discipline is maintained in the campus We don't have clubs We have an annual fest called kaleidoscope

It's very big with 4 building 3 canteen a huge library The ground is very big but not very well maintained The food quality at only 2 canteen is good Classrooms are big and spacious All the buildings are 3 storey and well maintained

The curriculum provides hand on internship and opportunity for research in the 7th semester. More time management is required during the course to ensure proper completion of syllabus. The frequency of exam is 2 the gap between them are 4-5 months.

I chosen this college because of really good facaulties. Faculty members in the botany department are supportive and helpful. I do not have any issues regarding the faculty. LADY BRABOURNE COLLEGE - EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION

1) I applied for Presidency University, Ashutosh College, Scottish Church College but I took admission at Lady Brabourne College because of its faculty and environment. The teachers of the college are very helpful in all aspects i.e. not only studies but also other problems. 2) I did not avail any quota for admission because the admission is purely based on merit. 3) The admission criteria are totally based on merit and without any entrance examination. Minimum qualification for B.Sc. Microbiology is minimum of 60% marks in 10+2 with a combination of science for general, 55% for OBC category, and 50% for SC/ST category. 4) On the counseling day, as the number of seats was limited to 30, so they made a list according to the marks received and called the names of the students who got admitted.
