Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus were well updated with regular intervals and day to day basis. Industrial exposure was well enough with a regular intervals of weekly industrial visit. Economical and Financial faculties were better.

College Events

Technical and Cultural facilities was one of the best 20 colleges of calcutta. Rotaract Club of Heritage Institute has been felicitated with 11 awards at the District Conference 2020.Along with HITK, the campus encompasses The Heritage School, Kolkata, The Heritage College, Kolkata and The Heritage Academy, Kolkata.

Campus Life

A 70acre campus with all sports facilities, IT labs, Libraries, with best developed labs, including LAW college, School, Undergrad college etc, with separate conference room in all and above all. Grooming facilities was one of the best part of HBS.

Adventures in Calcutta University

Placement Experience:

Calcutta University has an active placement cell that plays a crucial role in securing jobs for students. Companies like EXL, Genpact, Infosis regularly visit campus for requirement and the average package offered to students is around 6-6.5 LPA. I have plan, go for Ph. D. or some specialized courses after completing my M.Sc. course.

My college is the best college never ever forget it

Placement Experience:

For the placement, out of 60 students of my batch, 40 students were got placed from campus placement. TCS, CTS, WIPRO, Accenture, etc. all the big companies came for campusing. Overall good placement got from my college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because I loved the subject. Nothing more. The faculty of political science consists of 5 professors and our class strength is 58. The faculty is well qualified and they will cover each and every topic for you. But in the online mode of teaching, you will surely face some difficulties communicating with the professors and the regularity of the class will decrease but in offline mode, you will not face these problems. There will be 1 mid sem exam and 1 final exam per semester. There will be assignments and attendance also carries some marks (In our case, 5 marks per paper). The exams are conducted regularly and they were not much difficult to pass. The faculty will help you as per your need to prepare for your exams.

Fees was low as compared to other colleges and also good companies come in campus requirement process (Ex- Colgate, Asian paints, KPMG, Pwc, Deloitte,ICICI, Bandhan Bank) but the college does not guarantee 100% placement. I came to know about this college from one of my friend. Something that I liked about this college was during our campus season we were provided with a special aptitude classes which was helpful for most of the students and those who took it for granted found difficult to crack preliminary tests and thus landed. I got placed in Pwc. Overall it was a good experience but there are few areas where college need to develop. Like our college library was useless filled with all outdated books where we could barely find any books of our use in 4th sem.
