Remarks

I wanted to do a 1 year course and the college is close to my house. The course has a comprehensive curriculum with hands on training on photography, videography and photoshop courses. The timings are also suitable.

Course syllabus was updated. The college is under Kalyani university and does not provide best of the facilities. All teachers try to support and help as much as possible. However due to lack of facilities every thing Isn’t possible

No company has come yet. They give you recommendations and one has to figure it out for themselves. No body has been placed till now. They are not competent yet to call companies for placement. It’s difficult to choose this place.

College Events

No campus life. It’s a small place to be at. Small library. Smaller canteen. College does not hold any extra curricular activities neither does it take part. They don’t have any cultural or sport festivals.

Campus Life

The campus has wifi, library, small canteen. There are computers. No sports or other facilities. Computer labs exist for Photoshop classes other video classes. Skype facilities are available too. Library is very small.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement is a race here. Handfull of good companies with good roles will come but they take good chunk of students. So be prepare for that and don't worry about getting good companies, here many companies offers better packages than those good companies.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
