Remarks

DBIT has a fairly big campus as it is part of the DBCL which includes other Don Bosco degree colleges(BMM, BMS, HM, ITI). The campus recruitment figures were good and involved some good companies. The students and the faculties seemed to be decent. One of my cousins had passed out from DBIT and convinced me that it is a good college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is decided by MU and is somewhat outdated, although some teachers did explain and introduce us to newer concepts. We haven't received any real industrial exposure from the college. We haven't been taken on an industrial visit. The college only took us to a navneet factory for a few hours(it was more like a school field trip) and it was not at all worth the money. Some faculties are very good and some are terrible. Some of the good teachers are Anice ma'am (chemistry), Sameer sir(physics), Georgina maam( engineering mechanics). These teachers not only teach good but are ready to help you with other stuff as well. There are some teachers that teach very good but are very strict. And then there are a few teachers that are terrible and won't even let you drink water in their lecture.

Placement Experience

3.5

List of Training Programs offered: Communication Skills Training. Aptitude Training (Specific to Third Year Students). Interview Preparation Session (for Third Year and Final Year Students). Mock GD / PI Sessions( for Third Year and Final Year Students). Mock Aptitude Tests -Written and Online(for Third Year and Final Year Students). A Dedicated Language Lab for Improving student's Language Skills.

College Events

4.5

There are two major fests. Colosseum is the technical fest and Histeria is the cultural fest. Colosseum is held for around 2-3 days and lots of technical events and seminars are organised. Histeria is the cultural festival and involves the entire campus(students from engineering, commerce, arts). It is a much bigger festival and usually goes for 4-5 days. First year students are usually not allowed to participate in the organising of the events. There are many student chapters and clubs and they organise seminars and events throughout the year. Each branch has their own day and compete to see which branch got the highest score overall in all the events (kind of like Hogwarts).

Campus Life

There is a football ground, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and the top court where you can play cricket. Balls, bats, etc ate all available. There is a hall where most of the events occur. The BMM building has a small movie theatre. Wifi is available only on laptops and you can only use it in the library or in the vicinity. You can use the LAN cable from one of the computers in a lab if the faculty gives permission. The library is pretty big with enough sitting space and many desks for using laptops. You can find most of the books and many copies are available. There is a computer lab within the library. There is also a music studio. The labs are well equipped with all the necessary equipments. There is a designated lab for each subject and more labs for each branches. There are 7 labs just for IT(each has around 30 computers).

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exam difficulty level is moderate to hard only 60 to 65 percent sfudents clear exam each year. The improvements in teaching methid should be the faculties are well qualified but they lack to convey there knowledge to studnets because there approach is more theory oriented instead they should teach students with practical case stdudies of opd or admitted patients, also in comparison of syllabus number of faculties are less. Attitude of some teachers is bit arrogant they.

In our MBBS curriculum there are mainly three exams in college and one final University exam is there. MBBS curriculum there should be need of more practical based learning.
