Remarks :

I used to like commerce since my high school as my siblings studied the same course. Cochin college is one of the colleges in Ernakulam. I was born and brought up in Kochi so it was the a pleasure for me to apply the college near by.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Syllabus was latest. There was no much industrial exposure. Faculties were best. Unni sir was my class teacher and he was one of the best teachers in my college. Accounting and company law were his subjects.

Class Size : 49Course Fees : INR 630 per year

Placement Experience :

Our year of pass out is 2020. Our term of course was ended during the corona pandemic so we were not able to attend even our last classes. So there was no opportunity for us for any placements. Everything was messed up due to the situation. So no more comments.

College Events :

The campus life was stupendous. There were a lot of events in my college. There was an inter college fest in 2018 during my second year. Its name was Vibrance. It was a cultural event. There was a huge participation from different colleges.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Our college offers a memorial award for best students each year. It will be given at the end of academic year

Campus Life :

The infrastructure in my college was not bad. There is a playground for the sport activities. There was a huge library and there were a lot books. I was never been entered the lab of my college since I was a commerce student. So I don't know much about the lab.

Hostel Facilities :

I was never opted for hostel since I was a day scholar. The hostel of our college was situated in place far away from our college. So I think that was a bit uncomfortable for the students who opted for hostel.

From 4th semester, students become eligible for placements ie; at the beginning of second year itself . Students are eligible with a CGPA of 7 for most of the companies visiting Amrita School of Business, Kochi. Most of the banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI BANK etc comes for placement. Also PWC, Deloitte, BNY Mellon etc comes for placement. Many marketing companies like World of Stones, Exide batteries etc will come for placements. Good companies are more coming for placements. Avg package is 6 lakhs and highest is 14 lakhs. Almost 98% gets placed from college.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
