Remarks

Thakur college of science and commerce has a good placement guarantee compared to the other colleges.the college has a good infastructure compared to the other nearby colleges.the admission process starts right after the declaration of the boards results as 2-3 lists are declared based on the merits and this is how the admission process is being done in the college.the college has reservation of 50% seats for the minority which I believe is the bad aspect of the college since many talented students suffer because of this.the reason for preferring this college over others is that it has a good reputation, good infrastructure and it is nearby for me compared to other college which saves my travelling time

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I wanted to do something in information technology so that's why I chose BSc(IT).about the faculty what I can say that college has good faculty with lots of fields, division requires a good man power so the strength of the staff is good and on an average the quality of the faculty is beyond average i.e not too good neither too bad. Qualification of the faculty is up to the mark and talking about the teaching then it also good but not that good Talking about the exams then if you study then it easy to pass and the exams are held timely

Placement Experience

4

Student can get placement from 6 semester, students become eligible for campus placements in semester 6 The companies like tech Mahindra, jio,Amazon , Accenture etc comes here for the campus placement For bsc it graduate the highest package is ?20 k while the average is around ?13k Percentage of students getting placement is around 10-20% My plan after graduation is to get a job and side by side complete my post graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is based on the semester wise for example consist of 2 sems so every sem you have to pay sem wise fees.considering the fee hike system so based on the expenditure of the college they decide whether to hike the fees or Not. No financial assistance is provided by the college and the campus placement of the college is good

Campus Life

4

Taarangan is the annual fest held in the month of December every year and this is the main fest of the college Availability of books and journals in library is quite excellent you can get whichever book you want you can get it there. The classroom are big with 2 acs in almost every classroom. The sports and extra curricular activities are present in the campus and is also it is one of the best thing of thr College.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Microbiology is mainly lab based work but it also teaches you other worldly things , the reason behind me choosing Bsc microbiology to do from ruia is because , once i had a talk to an alumni of ruia in which she mentioned that microbiology from ruia is basucally equal of engineering from an IIT. In microbiology particularly i would say the difficulty level is a bit high but only if you don't pay attention to daily lecs and practicals
