Remarks

Previously I completed BBA from the same institution. The senior professors are amazing, they are more like friends. One can approach them with any question without any hesitation. The environment was very nice. But now I regret taking admission here because the higher authorities are more into politics. Student's interests are not being taken care of. Some of the senior faculties (I mentioned below) have left the college, a few of them will be retiring within 2 months. We are only left with a few best professors.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course Syllabus is quite good. We are provided with good industrial visits. Best Professors: Dr. Sujit Mukherjee (left the college), Dr. Debojoy Chanda (left), Dr. Jharna Dutta, Dr. Shantanu Chakraborty, Dr. Indrajit Sinha, Prof Semanti Debroy Sen, Prof Amitava Guha (will retire), Prof A C Majumdar (will retire)

Class Size: 110Course Fees: INR 551000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement completely depends on the student. The college has tie-up with a few companies. The placement of last year batch was quite good.

College Events

Management fests are organised every year. Participation is pretty good. Cultural programs are organised on independence day, teacher's day, fresher's day. Sports days are also being organised. Campus life is great.

Campus Life

No complaints about the infrastructure. It's outstanding. The Computer Labs and the Library have ample resources. Classrooms are well equipped with smart boards and a good sound system. The MBA classes have a capacity of 110. Attendances after every class are marked by the respective faculty as well as signed by the students.

Honest Review of BIBS

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

IIM Calcutta has fantastic placement records. This year also it got 100% placement. There are offers for various roles in marketing, finance, consulting, operations, product management, and general management, and it involves the participation of world-renowned organisations. A total of 170 organisations visited the campus, providing a total of 520 job openings. IIM has a 100% placement rate, with the majority of the organisations coming from the consulting, financial services, marketing, and information technology industries. The highest domestic CTC was 60 lakhs, with an average package of roughly 28.5 lakhs.

Remarks:

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

Only good remarks I can give for my college, but one bad thing is that it's very far away from my place as I stay in Howrah it took around 2 to 2½ hrs journey for college.

Remarks:

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

Remarks:

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.

So I am in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Institute of Management Science, Kolkata right now. There is no quota section. The minimum mark for applying is 60% with English as a common subject.
