Remarks

There is no such bad opinion I am holding of my institution. It is a great institution. I really loved to stay there.

Entrance Preview

I had admitted through JAM score Joint admission to Msc I had ranked 14 I had to opt for IIT Bombay because it's high placement rate.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is a very good college. Though the course syllabus is not too deep it is very ideal for industry openings.

Internships Opportunities

There is no such internship in this course. I have going for summer training at Hutti Gold mine. A great experience to attend that training. No particular stipend was there for this mining training. Food and accommodation were free there.

Placement Experience

All most all of my math mate were placed. More than 70% have placed in on-campusing, Lots of Big E&P companies have come like Reliance, Shell, Cairn, ONGC along with service provider Schlumberger, Geoservices. The average CTC was about 8 Lakh annum. Shell was one of the highest with 14 lakh annum.

Mood indigo was our institution's annual function an unforgettable experience along with the technical fest every year valedictory function at individual hostels.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very nominal. Just about Rs 20000 semester including everything. Much more economic than any other institution.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had received merit cum means scholarship of rupees 1000 per month. Almost all of my friends get that scholarship. That comes through Canara bank account direct.

Campus Life

This is a great phase of life. Not only from an academics point of view but as well as sports, swimming I cannot forget the facilities I had enjoyed there. A complete multi ethnic cosmopolitan environment.

Hostel Facilities

In the first semester I was in twin sharing just after that I got a single room. Rooms are good neat and clean. Regular room cleaner also came. There was a sufficient hostel seat were there so no question of PG. Mess food also really good and the varieties were there. Veg non-veg both options were there.

Alumni/Alumna

Unfortunately in my department no such strong well set up alumni association was not there but now it has been grown. In other engineering departments there is a strong well set up alumni association was there.

Exam Structure

Semester wise exam within one semester there is two examinations. Mid-semester and final semester. After adding the marks of both the exam final marks came. Labs are very well.

Faculty

All the faculties are very dedicated they help on any occasion. It worths doing post-graduation there.

The best place to get admission

Placement Experience:

Students who completed their masters are eligible for placements. Companies include Pharma, Biotech, R&d, agri companies, food industries, we can apply there. Well from 3rd semester students can apply and visit different companies previously, haidrabad, banglore are visited by our seniors. Students get salary of 30000-40000 ,there are students selected for multiple high rated companies. 30-40% Students get placed. I want to pursue Phd from India as I am more focus in research.

Placement Experience:

Placements in Fergusson are pretty good. Students are eligible for sitting in the placement drives from the 3rd semester, we also get Pre-placment activities and tests before the drive starts. We get companies like Axtria, Vois , bluepineapple etc on campus. The highest package is 10 - 12 lakhs and 4-6 lakhs on an average. In my batch out of the 30 people we 20 are placed so far on campus.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the GIPE are decent. This year the highest package offered was 18 lakhs per annum by Deloitte and IDFC FIRST Bank. Although the placements are not 100% but it's around 60%. Students need to work hard and score well in aptitude test and they should start the preparation from the second semester onwards so that they can easily manage their end semester exams as well as the aptitude test. The average placement package is around 8-9 lakhs. My plan is to get a corporate job and gain some experience and exposure in the corporate world and learn how the things actually work. Many companies that come to the college are looking for data analytics role. The ratio of the companies looking for consultant, risk analyst is less based on market demand and other circumstances.

By the end of sem3 itself, the postgraduates are deployed into interviews for certain internships. But if you are with good academic scores and knowledge you can even get directly placed. Every individual is given 3 chances by the college to get and crack the interview but if the student is not able to then he is guided to where to apply but mostly ICRI makes sure everyone is placed as the college proudly stays with its 100% placement tag line. As I told here there are varied background people here with different needs of roles, the highest package I have seen getting is 15L pa to the lowest of 3L pa which even depends upon the company to your broad spectrum of knowledge. To specify which companies come here for recruitment are sun pharma, Cipla, and many more there are all 20+ companies that come and hire the intellectuals. To specify about me I am planning to get a CRC post as a start for CRA in the future.

PG not given any campus you will get a job on your ability. We have to prepare for set net after MSc but there are some companies visited college like Wipro. They provide job but the salary is around 25000 per month.
